Singer with Severe/Brittle Asthma (non-allergic)
Hey everyone, 24 yr old female here. I'm currently on 184/22 Relvar Ellipta and Salbutamol after trying every other inhaler available. They didn't work and made it even worse; Relvar now works but the GP says it's the strongest medication they have that works for non-allergic asthma. My triggers are:

Anyone have experience with symbicort? Being swapped to it as apparently they are trying to reduce salbutamol use?
I've just had a review for my asthma and they are changing me to symbicort 2 puffs twice a day and I'm now to use it as my reliever too? I'm currently on Fostair 1 puff twice a day and ventolin but she said with current guidelines they are trying to reduce the amount of salbutamol use as its better to

Split fingertips?
I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma 2 years ago following a couple of bouts of pneumonia. I am In the severe category as I have pretty brutal attacks. What I have noticed is that an attack is accompanied with split fingertips. Especially my thumb and forefinger. I don’t notice any obvious cyanosis

B12 symptoms/fluticasone
Question: I’ve been recovering from b12 deficiency since February 2019. Probably 3-4 years or more of being deficient. Seemed like I was doing better. Have itchy feeling on skin since Aug 2019- don’t know if it’s allergies or nerve problems. Anxiety had gone. Now-anxiety and stomach issues are back

Significant reduction in Ventolin inhaler use after Astra Zenica Covid vaccination.
I had my first Astra Zenica covid vaccination about a month ago so after a lifetime of Ventolin and/or Salbutamol inhaler use, I do not see how it can be a coincidence that my reliance on the aforementioned inhalers has gone from several times a day to maybe once a week or less. I still take my preventer

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

Chronic lung pain but few other signs
I'm new to this thread, and have asthma-COPD which was diagnosed in Jan 2020. I have this weird chronic pain in my lower left lung; in exactly the same place I had it three years ago after a bout of pnemonia. (It lasted for nearly a year, and was described as neuropthic pain.) Now I've had it again

Inhaler issues
Well.. like I have posted earlier having issues with finding an inhaler that I do not have horrible side effects from. I am still recovering from extreme eye irritation and eye and sinus dryness from Spiriva. So now my doctor said to use my Albuterol inhaler as needed and an order for a neubulizer and

Question about covid vaccine for uncontrolled asthma
Hi guys, This is my first post so sorry if this has been asked several times (which it probably has been recently!) I know there is loads of uncertainty regarding asthmatics getting the jab but if you could give me some advice that would be great? First off, I live in Northern Ireland and apparently

Fostair fast heart rate
I've been taking fostair for a couple of months, and it seems to have been e a big help. I havent had any problems so far, until over this weekend I have been feeling bit ropey, felt like I was starting with a cold but haven't. This morning I woke up with a bit of a headache, nothing too bad just annoying

Anyone had an asthma attack made worse by using Salbutamol?
Hi all. Does Salbutamol usually cause faster breathing, or other side effects after taking 6 - 10 puffs within 15 minutes due to an Asthma attack? I have had an attack which wasn’t relieving after my usual 2 sets of 2 puffs over 10 minutes. So I started to have 1 puff every few minutes. However by

Post Covid recovery - struggling
Struggling post discharge. Bad day yesterday. Struggling to manage my asthma at home and coping with a major fibro flare. GP has arranged for me to borrow a sats monitor for 2 weeks to make sure I don't need readmission to hospital. Currently needing 10 puffs of Salbutamol before taking Fostair and Spiriva

Am I in the correct vaccine stage?
I have been told I am in stage 8 of the vaccine rollout, is this correct? I am quite a bad asthmatic with bronchomalatia. I take Montelukast and fostair, supplemented by salbutamol. Should I be higher up the scale?

What's the next step?
I am usually a very well controlled asthmatic - take sirdupla 125/25 two puffs twice a day and rarely if ever need to use my salbutamol inhaler. Most of my asthma attacks have been able to be managed at home.. as I often get some warning symptoms of having to use my inhaler more. This time, i've
