I have been suffering with high blood pressure for over 20 years. I am aged 75. For the past five years, it has occasionally become uncontrollable with spikes of high systolics up to 180- 200 on more than one occasions. My BP would be okay for several weeks and then out of the blue it goes sky high

Status Update Post-atrial Cardioäblation:
Had rapid atrial quivering/fibrillation develop in Feb '21 while I was focused on avoiding a second heart attack after having had a major one 9½ years earlier. Got put on meds to see if AFib could be managed that way but worsened to the point that by Aug, my heart was tracked at 244 BPM and I'd collapsed

Valsartan and erection
I recently started valsartan for bp. I take it at bedtime and wake up early AM with an erection. Has anyone else had this happen? From what I’ve heard it’s usually the opposite.

Valsartan and cancer
Does the BP med Valsartan still contain carcinogen? I have recently started taking without knowing about it's recall until I read about it online. I am a ten year survivor of cancer and have genetic risk for it.

Irratic blood pressure
Hi there I am new to the chat. I am still having irratic blood pressure readings after being on high doses of Valsartan. My blood pressure will be stable for a while and then shoot back up again. When it is stable I take half f if the dose. I wonder if that is the problem. Please advise

Blood pressure meds
What meds to reduce blood pressure are safe for the liver? I was prescribed Valsartan (Diovan), but information online indicates it might be dangerous for the liver. Can anyone give me examples of other meds that can be used so I can talk to my GP about them?

Valsartan successfully treated my blood pressure with bendroflumethizide but valsartan was stopped and I was given candesartan 8mg then 10mg
I developed high blood pressure and palpatations. I wore a 24hr BP machine and the called me as the readings were average 220/91. I’ve started taking 16mg Candesartan this morning in hope it helps but I’m really worried now and the palpitations are uncomfortable
