19th Consolidation Run
I completed my first 5K on the Nike Running Club app. I feel very proud of myself for completing this run. I had a friend along today who pushed me when I felt like stopping. However, according to my FitBit it was only 4.88km and my friend said it was the same by his Strava, so I think next time I will

Life-taker; Not a Life-saver
Valsartan pharmaceutical company has been ruining the lives of innocent people since 2013. My friend, a victim of this, had to carry himself around to the hospitals every and now and then. The bills started to pile up, and he was completely submerged in that. It was then when I came to know about the

Possibly getting off exforge
I've had some strange health issues over the last 5-6 years and starting to wonder whether it's the exforge because I can find no other cause of this. Years ago, I think after I started exforge, I started to get random aches and pains in my arms and hands, but it was not so bad so I generally ignored

Using Enalapril Maleate after 70 if you have dizziness
I have been taking Enalapril Maleate for over 30 years. I am now 79 and my blood pressure is moderately high but highly variable and I suffer from occasional dizziness. I see that this is a side-effect of EM. I wonder whether I should ask for a change of medicine, maybe to a receptor blocker? The ones

Muscle Weakness / Amiodorone
My husband was taking Amiodorone for 19 months before stopping in November 2019. Whilst taking this drug he suffered with extreme fatigue and body weakness and 8 months later the weakness has barely improved. It's unlikely that he will see his cardiologist for his routine appt. any time soon and GPs

Angiotensin antihypertensives and COVID-19: No clear added risk nor protection.
Yesterday in a reply I raised the possibility of whether angiotensin-related anti-hypertensive drugs, ACE inhibitors or ARBs would have any protective effect on COVID-19 infectivity, having heard that the virus uses "ACE2" as a receptor. The current NEJM issue has an article summarizing this complex

Valsartan
Have just been changed from Ramipril to Valsartan. Started them on Thursday and on Friday felt aful as my BP had dropped to 82/68. Best it came up to was 105/83. Felt pretty much the same yesterday, lowest 84/68 best 95/87. Today I made sure I left 12 hours between doses and was 94/76. Not feeling quite

I just about remembered to call Staysure to double check they have accurate info about me. This time I had to answer questions about a cyst in my breast- I forgot I’d been sent for an appt at the breast clinic-all was good. They also asked if I had any medication dose changes in the last 6 months

Valsartan caused cancer
Hi All, I was extremely sad to hear about my friend's health news. He was diagnosed with mild cancer. He was following a healthy lifestyle. And the only health problem he had was high blood pressure. He was often suffering from severe headaches due to this. When he visited a doctor, the doctor prescribed

Exercise heart rate and medication
I’ve noticed a few times that when I take my tablets later ( 10 rather than 8:30) on a Sunday morning and I then get on my bike straight away my HR can go up to around 145-150. The same bike workout using peaks at around 135 in the afternoon if I’m pushing it and I’ve taken my tablets 8 hours before

Valsartan shortage
Anyone else having a problem getting hold of Valsartan 160mg from their pharmacy? Mine has been trying for a week. Wholesalers in South East all out. Anyone had to change to something else instead. I was thinking I’d ask for Losartan which Ive had in the past.
