Mirapex withdrawal complete... now what?
So it's 1:48 in the morning in good old Maryland and I'm awake. The 2mg Neupro patch made me throw up so I went without a patch all day yesterday. I even sat on a very soft sofa holding my new granddaughter for 2 hours in the early afternoon and never felt a twinge. Of course I was very distracted

Is it normal that my mum isn't obeying commands after 3 weeks awake? (Total 6-7 weeks in ICU)
So my mum has been on and off the ventilator and has done 24 hours without. The weaning is going well. Still has a hospital infection but hopefully the holes -caused by over ventilation are getting smaller and will know for sure when they do next chest scan . They are doing a bit of Physio and stretching

Thank god for fentanyl
I have had RLS for decades at this point. I have tried it all and although Fentanyl isnt a cure, it has for the most part, allowed me to regain control over my life. It is a constant struggle but I can only pray that Fentanyl works for me for another four years at which point I should be able to retire

Well, the results came back that I have moderate sleep apnea. So no medication until I start using a CPAP. So I

Sorry it's been ages since my last post!
Hi all tried to write a post 2 weeks ago but my signal wasn't very good in hospital. Was admitted to hospital on Friday 4th April at 3am as I was suffering from chronic kidney pain. I had got to the point my medication wasn't working either was a hot bath or my electric blanket. I ended up ring 111

How do I make the pain stop. I don't want to call an ambulance :-(

I'm in agony but they won't believe me. I'm scared of that stupid hospital and it's scary staff. I don't have anything

Can I ask to push laperoscopy forward? I'm in agony! I can't take anymore!!!
Just waiting on a letter to give me a date for the laperoscopy, but the last few days the pain has got unbearable. I take 12 hour slow release OxyContin and have oxycodone to top it up for when pains get worse, I also take nefopam, but they just aren't helping at all, I'm stuck in bed doubled up in agony

Which one should I choose?
So, it turns out that the amitriptyline was making my legs worse after all (but made the itching stop, oh well). The doctor's next suggestions are sinimet (which I don't want to do because I had bad experiences with the other dopamine agonists), carbamazepine, propranolol, or oxycodone. Anyone have any

I don't know what to do with myself
I feel absolutely awful. This weekend has been a nightmare for me. I'm not sure what it is that is causing me to feel this way. On Friday I didn't feel too bad, but when I went to take my oxycodone, I had just received my new bag of prescription drugs, and noticed I didn't have any. I contacted my chemist

Extreme Pelvic Pain - no diagnosis can be found. Ideas?
When I first got my period at about the age of thirteen, it was relatively light and pain-free. Only at about the age of sixteen or so did I start to get cramps. By about eighteen they were out of control - I would be in so much pain I would end up on the bathroom floor crying and I was taking three
