Recovery from colds/flu whilst on Adalimumab
Hello,I was diagnosed with Crohn's 18 months ago and have been on Adalimumab for the last 12 months. In that time I have managed to avoid colds/flu until a couple of weeks ago. Have felt quite unwell and presently doesn't seem to be ending. My question is really to other people who have a reduced immune

Covid and injections
I suffered from Covid over Christmas from the 16th to the 30th December. Up 'til now I have had all the injections on offer. I read Dorset Lady's post that we are going to be offered another injection in the spring. It has left me wondering whether I will need this or not in the circumstances. I

mid-year covid vaccine
the CDC has recommended we immuno-suppressed get a second covid vaccine this year. i am getting mine tomorrow, six months after the 2023-24 first dose. What has your experience been with a second shot in a year? I have normally only gotten one but with this advisory, I decided to do. Your thoughts

Chondocalcitis incurable?
At least that's how I think it's spelt. It's a specialised form of RA and I have it in my left knee (along with normal RA in shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers. It's also called Pseudogout but as the crystals in Chondocalcitis are calcium they can't be dispersed as the uric acid crystals in ordinary

New medication for boosting immunity against covid19
Hello everyone from snowy NY. My spouse received his first kidney transplant 11/2018 and I just told him about this news. Apparently, there is a new IV infusion for people who are very immunocompromised to help improve their health from getting covid19, since the vaccinations were not working as hoped

Getting Off of Painkillers
I started seeing a pain management doctor about 4 years ago for severe lower back pain. One of the first things she did was put me on 5 mg Hydrocodone four times a day and gave me a steroid injection. Over the years, I have had several radio frequency ablations and a handful of steroid injections. The

Lurgy again!
I had a trip to London on Tuesday to work on a show and that was pretty tiring. I'd run on Monday, hoping for 30 minutes, but surrendering at 23. So the 30 minute run was Wednesday ... but no, just too tired. Thursday? Nah. So today, for sure. I got up early and put my running gear on, did two lots of

Pneumonia vaccine
Has anyone over 65 received the Pneumonia vaccine-Prevnar 20? I have ET Jak2+ and it was suggested by my GP. I read somewhere that we have to be careful with vaccines. Thank you,

Doxycycline long term use
Hi, I’m 11 months into my 15 month treatment for CLL. I’m on Ibrutinib with Venetoclax and it’s suited me well, and I’m really pleased that my bloods now appear to be normal. I’m also on Co-Trimoxazole antibiotic and Aciclovir antiviral to deal with any infections should they arise during my treatment

Influenza A
So I contracted Influenza A and was pretty ill for 4 days but still not so good despite 6 days on Tamiflu. Wondering if anyone has 1 had influenza and how it went 2 if my decision to take Tamiflu for 10 instead of 5 days is reasonable ( my docs have always doubled the time for antibiotics for bacterial
