Glandular Fever virus and PMR?
Hello everyone, Does anyone know if the Glandular Fever virus could be linked with PMR? I contracted GF and Hepatitis B of the Liver in 2005, it took me 3 years to get over it and live my life normally, I took no drugs, it really was a case of rest and gentle exercise, the Drs warned me if I didn't

Worried About (Possible) Recent Diagnosis of PMR.
Around 3 months ago I became aware of increasing aches and pains in my arms and legs and an overwhelming exhaustion. I’m normally a fit and active 73 year old. My neck felt stiff but I put that down to wear and tear as I also have worn discs in my lower spine which I manage with Pilates. GP sent me

Interesting article about the effects of Covid19 on your blood
Having caught Covid19 a short time after my allo SCT and with my anaemia ongoing, I was interested to see this article. This is not CLL specific but worth a read. covid vaccine and prostate cancer
I was surprised that the post about the covid vaccine was abruptly terminated as if the subject was closed and the answer is settled. That is not true in my opinion. This is a brand new technology that was only tested for about a year. No definitive study has been done about the long term impact (if

covid vaccine & prostate cancer
Any concerns/studies re covid vaccines bringing prostate cancer back? No politics just want to know if there are any reasons to be concerned.

FET in 4 days and nasty cold
I am so worried now, our FET is this Thursday and some nasty cold got me this weekend. I am afraid to take any cold/flu meds so it won't mess up with my lining etc 🙈 Has anyone been not well before or during transfer and it affected the outcome?

Chillblains
I have SLL and recently have had a few occurrences of Chillblains, my son is a Consultant Haematologist and tells me haematological malignancy is a common link and this paper links it to SLL, https://bmcdermatol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12895-015-0032-z. I can cope with this keeping hands

Covid recovery and steroids
using the dsns method I had got down to 0.5 mg steroids in December but then I got covid. The first symptoms that I experienced were like a pmr flare. I increased the steroids to 5 mg . After two weeks of slow recovery I then went rapidly downhill and went to the doctor. I have asthma and was very breathless

My Last (IFN) Dose, my Fateful Decision One Year Ago
This is a long and not cheerful post, I understand if you don’t wish to wade fully or at all thru it. Sections are marked for easy reference. The thoughts are my opinions only. -- I wrote a few months ago on my botched flu vax anniversary. Today is the one year mark for my Last Dose of Besremi

A suggestion that is working well, for me at least. AT least for now.
I think RLS can have several triggers, as well as several things that help. Sometimes it changes and what worked often does not neccessarily work each time. It may work again, but in the meantime, you need something else. Certainly avoiding foods or substances that bother and trigger the RLS, is a

Wife getting MMR vaccine booster - isolate or not?
I'm an SLL patient, 55 years old, now about 2.5 years into remission after 6 FCR treatments. I just recovered from a recent (and thankfully mild) bout of shingles. My shingles was so mild that my GP wasn't convinced it actually was shingles! She had me tested for herpes zoster antibodies, and for good
