Specialist Endo needed in the South East
Getting desperate! My NHS Endo who works in West Kent is retiring in the next few months and I am going to need an experienced Endo to take over my (unusual) case. I am on combination therapy T4/T3. I have the list from Thyroid UK and unfortunately I have exhausted all of those possibilities. I can't

TBI and complete 3rd nerve palsy after a cycling accident in August 2020
So I'm fairly new to this world and thought it would be good to share my story and hopefully connect with others in a similar situation. Nice to meet you all! 🧠👋 On 3rd August 2020, I went out for a solo cycle for some exercise. Unfortunately I didn't make it home that day and instead ended up in hospital

Hi all, had a scan done today. I was supposed to be 10weeks and 2 days instead on the sona it shows 9weeks and 3 days, there is a heartbeat and we saw that the bean had hiccups. But I dont know if I should be worried about the difference of a week? Has anyone experienced this and carried to term? I'm

W9R2 losing motivation 😩
Having read today’s posts of fellow runners completing the programme spurred me on to have a go at R2. Been resting up for a week now with quad pain. So decided it felt a lot better so got ready and did some dynamic stretches . Fine. All good. Started out and could feel a little niggle on the 5min brisk

My 3 month old baby throws up all the time?
Is this normal. She has been fine up until the last three weeks, I also think she is teething, she is irritable and dribbles all the time. But the throwing up is concerning me? I have fed her SMA organic since birth and she’s been fine so I don’t know if it’s the milk or just an episode?

Week 9 Run 3 - Warm up run
Sorry Burkey, I didn’t make it. I started off faster than usual thinking I was going to do a PB but I then realised that I wasn’t feeling great. It was torrential rain and very windy and I got to 5 minutes and my legs felt heavy but I carried on ignoring it. I got to 10 minutes and i seemed to be struggling

W8R1 good run but now resting ankle 🙄
Did this run yesterday in thankfully cooler weather. Part way round I developed a niggle on the inside of my left ankle 🥴 Having read other posts I’ve carefully been alternating pavements so as not to always be running on the same camber. I had no trouble in finishing but was a bit concerned as there

Hi everyone. I started Progynova twice a day last week and upped it to 3 times yesterday as per clinic instructions. Since the baseline scan I have had pains like ovulation pains every day and today I have bled (brown not red) quite a bit. Tonight my stomach is cramping as if AF is close (although it

Covid: Please help! Doctors ready to call if quits
My dad has been on a ventilator for three weeks today and has had a trach for 12 days now. My question is that the doctors think my dad may have irreparable brain damage although his CT scan was normal. His EEG showed generalized slowing but he was on a small dose of precedex during the test. The

Dietitians Advice
Saw a dietitian yesterday after a long wait due to Covid. She didn't suggest a FODMAP diet immediately, but has given me a list of fruit and veg I can eat. Some are surprising as I'm type 2 diabetic (bananas and melon) and I'm to have only 2 portions of fruit and 3 portions of veg daily. What surprised

Me, Again!
I'm really struggling, feeling really emotional and really wanting some reassurance, but I know that maybe no one can tell me what I'd love to hear. My beloved partner, who has had pretty much everything go wrong, is now post his last surgery 15 weeks (13th July) he spent 10 days in an induced coma and

Colomycin query
Hello all, I'm new to Colomycin and wondered if you had any tips on how best to mix it with the saline solution to minimise the amount of time you have to swirl it so it all dissolves. I've tried a number of ways and there's always a residue left which takes 2-3 minutes to dissolve. Taking the Colomycin

Raising eyebrows on neuroinflammation: Study finds novel role for 'skin plumping' molecule
Scientists have discovered a novel mechanism and role in the brain for hyaluronic acid -- a clear, gooey substance popularized by cosmetic and skin care products. Hyaluronic acid may be the key in how an immune signal moves from the blood stream to the brain, activating the brain's resident immune cells

Does anyone use Kemadrin for stiffness
Does anyone use Kemadrin for stiffness or to counteract the agitation effect of other drugs? It sounds good but it is an anticholergenic so is it harmful?
