A victory with my NHS GP! 🥳
I just wanted to share my joy that I've won my battle with my local surgery to get my EOD B12 injections on NHS prescription! After complaining in a persistent and factual manner about their handling of my health issues, I asked for them to provide injectable B12 over a pill that my stomach can't absorb

Yet another mess...
I am coming to the end of my B12 pills and being on the lower pension and every penny counts, wondered if I needed to reorder. So I phoned the surgery to request a blood test, and was told the GP would phone me back. So far, so good. A GP phoned, introduced herself as the new GP at the surgery. I

Food as medicine recommendations
I am educating myself via all the posts (thank you to all the regular posters). Is there a summary anywhere or a recommended book of how to ensure you are making the most of what you eat / don’t eat? For example, I just read that I need to eat steak and chips (great news) to help support optimal ferritin

Exercise crashes
Hi all, curious if anyone has experienced a worsening of symptoms following strenuous cardio exercise? This is typically viewed as PEM (post-extertional malaise) in the ME/CFS community. Low vitamin d high serum ferritin
Hello My husband has been on watch and wait for 12 years. Due to a constant chronic cough he recently had a blood test which showed low vitamin D levels of 45 and high serum ferritin levels of 936. He has been referred back to haematology but in the meantime just wondering if anyone can tell me if there

You might or might not know that I have been accumulating information about thyroid issues in my blog - I have created a significant number of pages now. Many will be aware of some of the specific pages which I link to quite regularly. But you might not have realised what else is there. Below is a copy

Self Injecting Query
I posted earlier about my health problems over the past two years. I saw an old post that said if you have Neuro symptoms then you should get loading doses then a jab every 2 months. This is my NHS regime currently. I've had jabs for about 10 years, was on 3 monthly and was changed to two monthly. "

Pain Spreading/Getting Worse
Hello All, I made a post a week or so ago about my pelvic pain. My symptoms started in December 2023. It started with UTI symptoms and persistant arousal. By January I was getting burning pain in my clitoris, urethra, and vagina, and some stabbing sensations, as well as feeling like there was something

How Do you Know When You're On Enough B12?
I'm normally on the thyroid forum but have posted on here a few times and I would value your expertise. Sorry for the magnum opus post 😁 I've been on B12 injections for a number of years, used to be every 13 weeks but as I have other conditions, Fibro, Ehlers Danlos and hypothyroid and I've had persistent

Omeprazole and Vit B12
Just found out that is you are on Omeprazole you should also be considering taking a Vit B12 supplement. Article reads: all people taking omeprazole need to either supplement with vitamin B12 or have their vitamin B12 status checked on a yearly basis. Even relatively small amounts of vitamin B12

Is it Supplementation or just life?
This dilemma was better expressed by someone else on this forum. As often happens something resonates and I mull it over and can not give credit where credit is due. When under supplementing by injecting 1.5 mg Hydroxocobalamin once a day and taking 6 mg sublingual adenosylcobalamin I could only tell
