Blood test results advice since starting T3

Just got my medichecks results through. Tests taken pre 9am, fasted with delayed T4 and split T3 dose as per protcol. To recap, I added 1 x 5mcg T3 for the first time about 8 weeks ago. Endo told me to reduce my thyroxine from 125 x 6/100x1 . I didnt do this, but reduced half way and have been taking 3 x 125/4x100. I stopped my B vits and Iron tablets a week before the test.

TSH 0.059 mIU/L (0.27 - 4.2) -5.4%

Free T4 (fT4) 18.9 pmol/L (12 - 22) 69.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.5 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 37.8%

C-Reactive Protein (CRP) 4.75 mg/L (0 - 3) 158.3%

Folate - Serum 7.4 ug/L (0 - 7) 105.7%

Vitamin B12 150 nmol/L (37.5 - 188) 74.8%

Vitamin D 91.6 nmol/L (50 - 250) 20.8%

Ferritin 61.4 ug/L (30 - 207) 17.7%

Initially after adding in the T3 I felt great - having more stamina is just the best , Ive cleaned places in the house that have been ignored for ages!! I did 10 minutes on the cross trainer without feeling like my legs were going to drop off, (normally after a minute my legs are dead) Ive had better sleep and my skin cleared . Then I kind of hit a dodgy week where brain fog went crazy but that is a bit better now. As the weeks have gone on, Ive had hypo symptoms creep back in. My bones ache bad, my joints ache bad, my skin has gone dry, 2 of my toe nails have lifted off and split? (wtf?) and I feel a little down and slow. But im sleeping better and I have stamina, something Ive not had in 3 years. So I feel better generally and feel a definite improvement from the added T3. Could I increase my thyroxine slightly?

What can I do to improve my vitamins? Im already taking Thorne basic B complex as well as a B12 spray sporadically, yet my folate is still low. My Vit D - can I increase this further? I currently take 4000 daily with K2. My ferritin just annoys me, still low after supplementing with 210mcg daily ferrous fumerate. I am thinking of getting the Three Arrows brand?

What should I do going forward? Endo has basically left me to it, I'm not expected back to him until Oct / Nov and he wasn't confident T3 would benefit me.

Thanks in advance!

Then get some T3 yourself; put another post up asking for reputable sources healthunlocked.com/thyroidu... and members will hopefully advise. Good luck

Suggest you email him

Say adding T3 has been of vast and significant benefit and would like to increase by adding 2nd 5mcg dose per day as your Ft3 is still low in range

If he won’t agree, look at finding a different endocrinologist

I will email him and ask. Restoring my thyroxine back to what it was before the decrease won't help though?

Your Ft4 is about perfect at 69% through range

You don’t have to say what dose Levothyroxine you are using
