Mental health issues associated with low b12
Hi, so this is a slightly off piste post so I apologise if its not for this board. My son for several years has needed b12 injections, not to the extent some of you guys but certainly its very noticeable if he hasnt been taking them for more than 3 weeks...the effects are obvious for his family. He

Serum ferritin too high?
Can anyone tell me whether 286 is too high for a serum ferritin level? I had an iron infusion a few months ago and this is my new level. I have been feeling very anxious, having panic attacks, not sleeping etc... and was wondering if it could be because of this? At the same time of the infusion I

Recent blood results 😳
Hi all, I would really appreciate your views on my blood results- bloods taken how we are advised on here to follow. Endo has advised to reduce Levo to 100mcg & reduce Liothyrine to 10mcg - I can’t understand how I’m feeling worse again (never been optimal) In all honesty I feel like stopping all meds

absorbing b12 in cells with liquid sublingual on days not injecting
hello all, I was wondering if using the liquid sublingual oral drops would be absorbing in the cells on days that I do not inject EOD. also does our b12 that we have in our blood supply get used up if we have the pernicious anemia. like does our b12 that is has not left our body yet get used by our

hopefully getting somewhere!!
Having been treated for hypothyroidism since 2000 when I had a thyroid nodule, I have struggled with my weight and wellbeing to varying degrees over the years. I'm now 79, but active. I saw an Endo privately in October had a few blood tests which I have posted, (including Medichecks in Feb I think)

A Blip in time!
I am 74 (F) and was diagnosed in Nov, 2019 with PV and JAK 2 positive. I have been in clinical remission for 18 months and take Jakafi 10mg 2x daily. I have an allele burden of 15 currently down from 60 at diagnosis. My blood draws have been within limits for 18 months with only a blip in the blood calcium

Could a member please explain the T3 feedback loop?
Hello, I have been on NDT since June of 2021. I am currently taking 175mg of compounded thyroid. About two hours after taking my thyroid capsule I often feel hot and sometimes a bit anxious ( like being overmedicated) but in the afternoon I am out of gas. My cortisol is high in the early morning, good

GP has asked for data/study on safety of frequent B12 injections
Can anyone direct me to some data/peer review study or such confirming there is no health risk of frequent B12 injections? I saw one GP who confirmed her understanding of the recommendation of 1mg per 3 months and anymore is unsafe...arghh! My current GP is asking for information - thank heavens!!

After some info on cardio exercise and B12 deficiency.......
I little bit of my B12 history: diagnosed 7½ years ago, been self injecting for 7 years, and am currently SI'ing every 3 days. With this protocol I have no symptoms. I can walk for miles every day, I can do weight training at the gym 2 to 3 times a week, I work, I go out, I have a happy, healthy marriage

low TSH
I have autoimmune thyroid disease diagnosed 23yrs ago and have been on the hypothyroid treadmill since. Yet again GP wants to reduce my levothyroxine and liothyronine as my TSH is 0.12. this happens regularly and my TSH never changes. Many years ago an ultrasound of my thyroid showed it was “shrivelled

recommedations for patches or lozenges
I have been injecting my son with B12 for a couple of months about twice a week. He tried self injecting but has a needle phobia and was passing out. He is about to go away Europe for a month and I thought to get him some patches or lozenges to try and help keep his levels of B12 up. Has anyone used

Low dhea-s in parkinsons patient with dementia
My father was diagnosed with Parkinsons and sudden onset of dementia following a bout of covid 19 2 years ago. He is not very responsive to levodopa after that and after several consults with neurologists have found no other solutions. Tam some tests based on PD panel by Laura Mischley, and gave him

I have a unicorn doctor
ohmygoodness…. I know this should be the standard level of care but I’m still in shock. I just had my latest GP appointment who has been looking after me since my big crash back in March. She had agreed 3 weeks ago to put me back onto weekly injections after such a dismal response to monthly (surprise
