Can anyone tell me whether 286 is too high for a serum ferritin level? I had an iron infusion a few months ago and this is my new level. I have been feeling very anxious, having panic attacks, not sleeping etc... and was wondering if it could be because of this? At the same time of the infusion I began SI B12 EOD for 6 weeks. I have already posted previously to see if anyone thought it was due to the B12, so I thought I should also check whether the ferritin level is too high? (I am female)
Thanks.

Just looked up my Medichecks blood test and on there ferritin ranges are 30- 650 ug/L . So your ferritin result appears to be excellent .
Do bear in mind , that often , when you start injecting B12 sufficiently as you obviously are , You start to feel worse . This is called “ reversing out” So keep focused and carry on injecting , and don’t forget a daily modest folic acid tablet of 400 mcg . Best Wishes .
It is a high reading but you have had an iron (ferritin) infusion so that is what can be expected for a several months. I suggest you take an iron supplement to help your body make good blood with the help of your B12 EOD. You did two radical treatments simultaneously which will be a shock to your body which will have to work hard to integrate it all, especially as you will have been deficient in B12 and ferritin for probably a long time. Your body knows what it's doing it just needs time. It may help to go back to whoever prescribed the ferritin for reassurance. You should ideally have a follow-up chat.
Yes, I feel scared to start injecting again... I haven't had an injection for 5 weeks. Initially I was feeling better (here and there), then the last few injections brought on marked anxiety and panic, so I stopped. In my mind I have taken on too much...
