absorbing b12 in cells with liquid sublingual on days not injecting

hello all,

I was wondering if using the liquid sublingual oral drops would be absorbing in the cells on days that I do not inject EOD. also does our b12 that we have in our blood supply get used up if we have the pernicious anemia. like does our b12 that is has not left our body yet get used by our cells still or only what is injected? I hope my questions are understandable, I just have so many questions now that I was diagnosed with the PA. I was also wondering how are we able to start having injections further apart if our bodies don't use the stored b12. thank you for any comments.

I tried b12 tablets abd b12 sublinguals .At the time i had the same questions and more.

I really hoped I could space b12 injections out more .

With PA and other absorbtion issues you have to bypass the usual process of absorbtiin.

I simply coukd not utilise the oral b12 to a degree that relieved any symptoms.

I spent alot if money .

If tge cause is dietary the oral b12 works well to top up.

I at the time was aiming for monthly hydroxcobalamin injections.

Why?

I was led to believe monthly was a realistic aim.

I should've just concentrated on symptoms relief ,however many injections I needed.

I lihe you have often wondered why b12 levels stay so high circulating in the blood If we pee excess out ?

All I know is we can't use any stores if we can't absorb b12 from food adequately.

The complex system is broken.

We also can't utilise much of the b12 circulating in our blood.

Hence needing high levels all of the time .

I'm sure a scientist can give s more complex explanation .

The fact is noone fully understands as not enough research has been done .

With b12 injections it's straight into your bloodstream .

No ifs or buts but a certainty.

Also once on injections ,mostly it's then for life at a frequency that keeps us as well as possible.

We've pushed our body to bypass the broken failing natural mechanisms of obtaining b12 through necesity.

The exception is those that needed b12 injections to boost supply after a drug depleted b12 stores or diet not supplying enough to utilise.

They are then successful with oral b12 to sustain health after some b12 injections.

A few of my family and friends have been in this group.

I've observed and despite being pleased they were 'sorted ' so quickly after being pretty ill.

A bit confused why it's taken years to get in a better place .

I tried yo use s computer last night .

A mistake .

My brain hated it . Took me right back to nasty symptoms.

?

Yet i can watch TV now .

Also use this small mobile ??

Still many unanswered questions I'm having to live with .

Can drive you sir crazy at times

Hi Rosina,

You do have quite a few scientific questions which involve knowing about the human body’s cardiovascular system, cellular activity and metabolic cycles.

Like Nackapan has said focus on symptom relief. Your symptoms are yours, have a diary. If your symptoms are better because you also take sublingual oral drops then great. If not then maybe do not take them.

In answer to how are we able to start having injections further apart if our bodies don't use the stored b12 ? The answer is Money. Sounds nonsense doesn’t it ? This is just getting back to the basics.

The reality is a person’s Basic Metabolic Rate fluctuates. So, as a very crude comparison. Robert Scott decides to go for a vigorous walk and by evening, he has a rest in a cabin. Then he sleeps over night. Samuel Clemens spends 8 hours sat at his desk penning his latest work. Then went for dinner at a friend’s home. Both of these men have very different lifestyles which affects their metabolism and how they use up B12. Both of these men are in different environments. So this too also affects how they use up B-2.

Scott is in -40 degrees C or Fahrenheit. Clemens resides in sunny Florida. The examples I have used are men who are not capable of menstruating, carrying a baby, birthing a baby, lactating or going through the menopause which also affects B12 metabolism. (Although, for the latter, there is some stwff about that).

We are not robots, our activity levels change daily, depending what is required of us. If you received a panicked phone call from a neighbour, Beryl, who need your urgent help then you would try your utmost to assist her. During this period, the Nervous System’s Flight or Fight response kicks in. You will be using more B12. After the crisis is dealt with, your body and mind need some time to come back to ‘baseline’. It is definitely worth knowing what homeostasis is.

thank you narwhal and Nackapan,

that is a great way to put it, that makes sense and thank you for your support, I just need to get my body used to the injections for now on EOD and all the cofactors, as for now the vitamins are all still not easy for my body to tolerate but with everones support and stories I will just keep on injecting and taking the other vitamins, I know from everyones stories I will get stronger and feel better with all this. thank you and the Lord for giving me you all for my help.

hello JesusMercy60, I s.i. 3 x day and hopefully boost with sublingual drops too. Previously before injections oral tablets and spray did not work.

I suppose I could stop s.i. for weeks and then do private Active B12 to get a definitive answer but all my symptoms would be back.

So I just hope it works, even at small absorption rates it must help some. 🙂x

hello Wheat,

it does help me get through that day of no injection but I have to keep taking it thoughout the day, but I'll see as time goes on how my body is doing with EOD and my wakeup symptoms how they do, I'm on my 5th or 6th week so I will see shortly.
