Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Hashimoto's confirmed yesterday. Resuming meds after initial plummet when starting. Update...
Hello everyone; & thanks once again for encouragement, feedback, input, etc. after my first post last week. My blood results are back (if you remember, my dr suggested stopping meds after I saw her on Sunday & just confirming that everything we are treating is, in fact, accurate!) Yes, I am hypothyroid

Night vision.
Hey hey, Does anybody have any issues with their night vision??? I've started noticing odd things!?! OK I'll try to explain. My bedroom door has a frosted glass panel. Normally with a light on downstairs I could see it. Now when I look directly at it I can't see a damn thing, if I glance down I can.

Tapering after 5 weeks on 20mg
Hi - would love input. My Rheumatologist has decided that I should decrease my Pred by 2.5mg per week until I reach 10mg. (So from 20 to 10 in four weeks) and then go down 1mg per month. I am so pleased to be tapering down but am so nervous as well. Does 2.5mg per week seem reasonable? My DEXA scan also

Water Cure
I am starting the water cure that was developed by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, who said: "You're not sick; you're thirsty. Don't treat thirst with medication." Water cure involves drinking half your weight in ounces (so f.e., if you weight 120, you would drink around 60 oz./day), and taking unprocessed sea

Roferon-A question
I have been using Roferon-A since early 2013, injecting 3miu 7 times a week for most of that time. It's currently not doing a fantastic job of controlling my blood counts and I was wondering whether any of you have been on a higher dose than this? Thanks, Jo

Can I safely give small amounts of methylcobalamin to a 3-year-old?
Hello all, So can I give methyl B12 to e 3-year-old (just put a sprinkle of my powdered methylcobalamin in his milk)? Also can you recommend good brands of kids' vitamins containing methylcobalamin? I have been browsing in search of such but the only methylcobalamin I've found is in kids' multi-vitamins

Night Blindness
Is anyone troubled by this? I haven't been able to drive in the dark for a few years now and it's a real pain. I seem to have a problem with Vit A/Beta Carotene as I have Carotenemia. I take a Vit A supplement a couple of times a week but it's no better. Anyone got any ideas please? Thanks :-)

A Quick Starters Guide To Being Healthy (MYP 5 Service as Action Project)
Hello everyone, me and I my friends have compiled some research, that can help you become healthy. The last part about healthy food stores is focused around the area we live in (Ostrava, Czech Republic) however, the rest should be universal. I hope you find this helpful. What does it mean to be healthy

Help with results..
Hi, recently had some bloods taken with blue horizon for thyroid. I have been treated recently with b12 injections as I had levels of 362. After the injections I have had more stamina but still generally feel unwell. The doctors have slapped the label on me of having ME but just wandered if anyone could

blue horizon thyroid bloods, feedback rapturously received!
Greetings, I wonder if I might possibly trouble any of you awesome self-empowering endocrinal autodidacts for feedback on my thyroid bloods from Blue Horizon? The range is different but essentially it's the same story as the NHS bloods, that my TSH is elevated to a clinically significant but not extraordinary
