I ama 62 year old female. I have been on hemodialysis then peritoneal dialysis and back to hemodialysis over the past five years. I felt great for the two years on peritoneal. Was able to work and go about my daily routine. The peritoneal stopped working and I have been back on hemodialysis for about

Help needed! 😔
Wondered if anyone could relate or any advice? OK so back in Dec 2021 I started with a runny nose, sneezing, blocked, and neuralgia - I thought I was getting a cold, so a few days passed and still all the same symptoms but I noticed my smell had started to go, which is strange because I've never really

My CLL, where is the finishing line?
Just over a year ago my “Abnormal CLL” took off. I lost weight rapidly and my 22 cm spleen hurt. I was glad to be offered V+O and after a bad initial reaction settled into the routine. Then the sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infections set in and the cough…. Fair to say I have endured the year

Q10 Supplement
My chiropractor suggested I might benefit from taking a supplement called Q10 gold. The research I did was quite interesting done by Pharma Nord, seems their studies with people with heart problems eg heart failure also CABG mortality rate reduced considerably, also enhanced energy levels etc. My Chiropractor

Any tips pls ..? Dad's really tired of is cough - that's now a mix of dry (mainly) and some mucous
Hi, the mucous is not really coming out now. But the dry cough is new. The hospital checked for an infection (given the dry cough), but didn't spot anything which is a relief.
So, my question is really about how best to handle a cough that's dry , with just a little mucous ..?
He's using codeine

Bizarre Diagnosis
So, I got the HRCT results back and no bronchiectasis - yey! But I got a really weird letter from the Consultant saying that the diagnosis is therefore chronic bronchitis, which she never mentioned in her chat with me. I looked it up and chronic bronchitis is a form of COPD. Except... I only have one

Home dialysis will soon be possible for more kidney patients

Heart failure
I had a P and A in 2021 to stabilise my fast heart rate in Permanent AF. Although still in AF, I thought that was my heart sorted. Last year I had pneumonia and then at Christmas another chest infection, that has taken until now to sort out. As I am still breathless and very fatigued, I had a chest

AFib and cold showers
Hello amazing community, My PAFs usually begin in the early evening or at night in bed. I am wondering if my cold shower regime really helps end them or might just be random. The last few times when I get up in AFib in the morning, I shower/douse myself with freezing water to get the "gasp effect

Sudden cold episode
This morning I was getting ready for work and my body suddenly went freezing cold and I felt like I was going to pass out. My heart started racing and I thought I was going to die. I rang for an ambulance. After several hours the ambulance service just called and asked if I still wanted them to come

Not exactly ‘in the pink’
Hello everyone. Are there any people out there, that cough up pinkish phlegm. It’s only after lying down for 2 or 3 hours. I’m not quite sure if I’m starting to develop heart failure. I’ve been taking anticoagulants since 2014 and changed onto Apixaban about 16 months ago. Thanks in advance.

After years of being careful...
I know others are suffering from worse things at the moment but there's something that has made me a bit fed up. When I was diagnosed with COPD, Asthma and Bronchiectasis I was told in no uncertain terms to avoid people with colds and this I have done since 2015. All our friends know very well that
