Advice on Thyroid results?
Hi all, my first post. I've had symptoms of hypothyroidism for several (6-7) years including extreme fatigue, weight gain (now 2 stone heavier), depression, achy muscles - I used to be so fit and healthy and now everything feels like a huge effort. Had several tests over the years for TSH and T4

Genetic therapy: for solid malignancy hopefully soon
ok, I post them also because they are fellow Italians! But the platform is very promising even if clinical use has been approved only for glioma and glioblastoma at the moment. But there are clinical trials going on for solid tumors, prostate included. https://www.genenta.com/wp-content/uploads/2021

PSA rising on Triplet Therapy after <18m
Hi all. Hope you are keeping your spirits high. This is a follow up to a post I made in 2022 about my father. I haven't posted since, which reflects the period of relative normalcy that followed the commencement of ADT (triplet therapy) at MSK. I want to pause to appreciate that since I know most of

Can Endo cause leukocytes to appear in your urine?
Hi you lovely lot! I’m 35 and was diagnosed with endometriosis last year. It’s nice to meet you. I had emergency surgery last year to remove an endometrioma that was discovered in hospital as I was unwell. During the laparoscopy it was found that all my pelvic organs were very inflamed and swollen

knee surgery discussion with orthopedic surgeon
Hello out there, I would like to get some feedback from people who have had knee surgery that have RA. My last surgery (bladder mesh removal) meant I had no RA drugs in me for a month and it was brutal, trying to heal and being in a big flare from the trauma on my body. Any tips or words of wisdom

New here !!
Hello Not sure where to start. I had some blood tests done through Blue Horizon because of many symptoms I thought were hyperthyroidism. I had, two years ago, finally managed to get my weight just above 9 stone. Then over the course of a month went down to 8 stone 4. Drenching night sweats were awful

PMR again ?
I stopped pred on 8th October after 4 years and was OK until now. I have developed stiffness and aching in hips down to knees and am wondering whether the PMR has come again due to stress. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 11th October and am currently on Letrozole to (hopefully !) shrink the tumour

Finding the Right Treatment
I have been really depressed for the last two years. I have been diagnosed with treatment resistant depression. I have tried 10 different medications, I do weekly therapy, see a psychiatric NP and I have finally resorted to ECT until my insurance company stopped paying for anesthesia. I can't afford

Private dexa scan
Hi all, I am 37 and been perimenopausal for well over a year. My mother has arthritic hips and knees which resulted in a double hip replacement a decade ago. Is it worth getting a dexa scan now? If it is; is there anywhere in the South West I can get one done privately?

I had total knee replacement 11 days ago. What exercises should I be doing? Knee is v swollen, v painful! I'm trying to walk little bits throughout the day with crutches. Bending the knee is agony due to swelling.Seeing physio end of next week. They didn't give me any exercises when leaving hospital.

Where Are My People?
I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder over 5 years ago. It started with speech therapy but didn’t seem to help. I’ve been medicated since then but it doesn’t feel like it’s doing its job anymore. The last couple years have been a rollercoaster with changing meds multiple times, worsening depression

Time to come off Ropinerole 4 years after being on Pramepexole 7 years. What else can I try????
I've been on these and both caused augmentation and with both was increased to maximum dose yet still had restless legs causing sleepless nights, anxiety and depression. Before I went onto medication I found out I was severely anaemic, I don't know how it happened to me as I was previously fit and healthy
