Repeating the basics of insulin. It is copy and paste from a web site.
Rapid-acting insulin, begins to work about 15 minutes after injection, peaks in about 1 hour, and continues to work for 2 to 4 hours. Types: Insulin glulisine (Apidra), insulin lispro (Humalog), and insulin aspart (NovoLog) Regular or Short-acting insulin usually reaches the bloodstream within 30 minutes

I am 51 years old. I have been in renal failure for almost three years. I go to dialysis three tmes a week. I am still very active and work
Part time with handicapped people. I just wanted to let people know that being on dialysis is not a death sentence. I lead a very full life and plan on continueing for many years to come.

Should an ultrasound of the kidneys be excruciatingly painful?
I'm worried, I can't help it, even since my
renal
failure
from 2012 I worry that it could happen again, and the fact that no one keeps an eye on my kidneys despite that makes me worry more. Can anyone tell me if this pain is normal and nothing to worry about? Thanks

Does anyone know what Acute kidney injury on CKD means, my renal consultant put this on my letter to my Doctor.
I was referred for a KUB ultrasound scan, which showed several cortisol cysts. I saw my renal consultant at the end off December, who advised me about my diet and said he would see me again in four to six weeks, I had an appointment in March, which has since been delayed until April, i am a bit worried
