Has anyone ever had a test to measure the levels of your stomach acid. I wondered if this was something you could get done privately. I'm at a loss, I've tried apple cider vinegar, hcl betaine upto 4500mg per meal and nothing worked. I've been off the Ppi now for 2 months and realise it could be the

When did your hair come back?
Hello everyone, I posted awhile ago about my hair loss. Two months ago I saw a dermatologist and then another dermatologist specializing in hair loss who both said it was because of the prednisone and recommended rogaine to stop the hair falling out until I was down farther on the pred and

I am wondering if anyone has experienced hair loss? I used to be recognized by my thick hair. ( I guess that's the only reason I still have some). I've take biotin, I use rogaine. I don't wash it as often. I have to vacuum daily. I just walk across the room and hair is falling out. When I get up from

Omeprazole and digestive enzymes
I have suffered from GERD for a few years now but had great success phasing myself away from omeprazole onto digestive enzymes, containing betaine hcl which completely resolved the issue. I suspect I have low stomach acid due to Hashimoto’s. Fast forward a year and I’m now expecting my first child (

Supplements - does this sound right?
Firstly thank you to those who have replied to my posts so far. I have spent the past few weeks reading a lot and getting my head in a muddle but I think I have a plan. As my doctor is not interested in my physical health I guess it is up to me and although I don’t like taking any type of pills I think

Digestion and absorption - digestive enzymes, betaine hcl, probiotics
As hypothyroid for many years, what would be advisable products to use to improve digestion and absorption. Especially important as I'm considering iron supplements. I'm skinny, so don't think I convert most of the food into muscle. Also have dirty/green tongue that I take ages to clean in the evening

Hi all! I would like to share my story to see if you could shed some light. I’ll try to be as brief as possible! I’m 38 and I've been suffering from Hashimoto's for 15 years and half of them I was on a wrong medication / not well diagnosed. 2 years ago, I found a good medical herbalist that helped me

If Betaine HCL is derived from Beets...
Would eating beetroot with meals help with digestion? I was just curious after reading something in an article about it. 🤔

Methylation - was gobblydegook but now I'm understanding it
I have received a random email from Dr Mark Hyman regarding Methylation. When I had my legally required counselling with the result of my DIO2 gene test, the counsellor talked at great length about Methylation & she was recommending I take a test to check my methylation. I couldn't take in what she

Betaine with pepsin
I’ve just got some betaine as recommended by Dr Izabella Wentz. It says to take one capsule with every meal - does anyone know if there’s any interactions with T3 as I’ll be taking one with breakfast and hour after my T3 dose. Also has anyone any experience with betaine with pepsin that has helped improve

Hair thinned out on temples and frontal lob
I started to lose hair on my sides after I believed at the time a bad chemical reaction to a perm (I have afro Caribbean hair), I had this happen a while before but my hair grew back. Anyone within 250 mi of Oakland with the thing that rhymes with Rogaine, but starts with Ibo?
I think this is ok to ask about here. I read the guidelines and saw nothing to lead me to believe this post would be a violation. I want to try Ibogaine, but will be traveling this summer (and leaving in two weeks) so am not sure how I’ll receive my order, but I can figure that out later. In the mean
