Betaine hcl with pepsin

Ive been taking betain hcl with pepsin for a couple of weeks with meals, and i got as far as 4 capsules with a meal and got no heartburn reaction etc, and just yesterday i did 5 and still no reaction lol, so god knows how many i need to get to my limit (your supposed to see how many u can take with food, until u get burn from them, then lower your next dose by one) but i cant beleive im taking 5 and still nothing lol so my stomach acid must be so low!!? Has anone else used hcl or anything similar?

I got up to 8 capsules and gave up, it obviously wasn't working for me.

I changed to organic Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother

Maybe that just meant u needed alot of hcl to make up what you wernt producing? Like me? I used acv (braggs mother one)a while back but it made my face flush like crazy! Could it be that our hcl levels are THAT low that we need alot of it to make up what we dont produce? Because surely if we had enough hcl in the 1st place then it would give us a response of acid when only taking a capsule or so?

With the amount of water needed to take 8 capsules whilst eating a meal, I couldn't continue to increase. The ACV worked fine for me, job done

I have only ever taken one Betaine/Pepsin tablets with meals. That's sufficient for me.

Does more make you get symptoms after taking?

I have only ever taken one so that's probably what I need.

I take 7 with high protein meals. I use capsules because they're easier to swallow.
