Diagnosis wait
Hello, wonder if anyone in Uk has difficulty with waiting and time spent trying to get diagnosed. I had abnormal LFTs for a couple months, fatigue, itching, unable to work. I am having a phone consult on Monday thankfully. As yet, no indepth tests. My Human Resources at work are not familiar with this

A good stand up reminder. Being sedentary can worsen PD.
I have tried many reminders including manual/digital timers, iWatch, standalone apps, etc. but this lightweight free "eyeCare" Chrome extension is the best of all that I've tried thus far with audible/visual notification with adjustable time. It's actually a reminder app to exercise your eyes to prevent

Antibiotics and immunosupressant??
Hello, I just managed to get an eye infection and the GP prescribed chloramphenicol eye ointment and flucloxacillin. I already take methotrexate, hydroxichloroquine and prednisolone. She told me to check with the rheumatology nurse to see if I need to stop the immunosuppressant. I tried to get in touch

Amitryptaline side effects
Hi can anyone tell me what side effects they had from amitryptaline. I was on 25mg and was ok apart from a little groggy and dry mouth. GP has upped the dose to 50mg because I wasn’t sleeping with pain in my neck and head. I feel dreadful. Very zombie like and can’t concentrate. I did however sleep last

Problems with secondary Sjogrens
Has anyone had increased problems with secondary Sjogrens? I have RA and both are controlled with MTX and Hydroxy. Just lately the dry mouth is back with a vengeance, has anyone had this happen and if so, anything done to help? Hospital said see GP but that doesn`t seem right to me

Any social care for elderly alone with glaucoma?
My father had glaucoma and I get my eyes checked once a year at the opticians. My pressures are going up-they were high at my last eyetest, though came to the top end of normal in a second different test, and I am really worried I will get glaucoma. The main reason it worries me is that I have no

Eye allergy and laser treatment
I have been using glasses and contact lenses for eight years now. I'm doing a computer job and sits for more than 8 hours in front of the computer. I'm suffering from migraines. When I feel a headache, I remove my glasses, and after some time, I will put it on. Then I feel like my eyes are burning, and

SUPPLEMENTING INTO (OR OUT OF) A HEALTHIER LIFE?
Okay, I realize most hypo or hyper thyroid patients take hormone pills, T4 or T3, NDT or combo’s of these. But, I also realize that vitamin supplementation is needed and, in fact some thyroid problems are, ostensibly performed by osteopaths that many claim have helped them considerably & a combination

Hey y’all!!! It’s been a while. Things over yonder are friggin crazy if you haven’t heard. 😂😫😂 Got 3 IVIG infusions and they helped tremendously with swallowing and cranial neuropathy. However, the effects are not sustained so I’m back to square one. Neuro-optho is pushing rheum for a plan and rheum

Glaucoma Surgery.
I’ve been suffering from secondary glaucoma for many years in my left eye. About 5 years ago I had a course of laser surgery to reduce the pressure. It’s all been good since a month ago when the pressure went up to 22. I’ve been told by my consultant that I now need Baeveldt tube inserted into my eye

FND treatment for adolescents
I have a granddaughter who is 13 and has been diagnosed with FND 2 years ago. We have met with numerous Doctors, Neurologists, Child Psychiatrists, experimented with Chiropractors, Brain Balancing, EMDR, and healers to no avail. She is confined to a wheelchair, non-verbal, has seizures and black-outs

Latest appointment - possible genetic sequencing
I had my latest oncology telephone appointment on Tuesday. Letrozole, which had kept me stable for 2 years, stopped working earlier this year, & I've been taking Megace since August. There's little change on my latest scan, so I'm continuing to take it for now. After some discussion on my future,
