Light headed.
Twice this week I have felt slightly dizzy and lightheaded. My sodium levels are usually low. I'm waiting to go back for another test. I wonder if this could be causing my symptoms. I feel drained too. Usually, I am fine. It makes me really worried thinking I might have a stroke or heart attack

sodium update
I have just rung my Gp re. Hyponatremia Test .. Receptionist said Dr. Has seen results of sodium test and sees no reason for further tests as ‘ I have been borderline for YEARS’. I asked when first test was done . Seems it was only last year. May 22. 134. Sep22. 133. July 23. 130.

Alcohol - I Did a Silly Thing
Yesterday to celebrate my daughters 50th birthday, my son in law chartered a beautiful boat for the afternoon - 3hrs. It was wonderful and from the time we left the harbour the four of us were plied with nice things to eat and wine. Now I'd already had a drink before boarding the boat and my wine consumption

SpaceOAR placement day after
For anyone considering SpaceOAR rectal spacer, here's my experience one day after the procedure. While I see some have had this done under anesthesia, I did not. It was not presented as an option for me, and after going through it, I don't know that it would be necessary unless you have a very low tolerance

Hyponapea test
Just seen letter hospital sent to my gp. My sodium level is 134 and they suggested Hyponapea test. Any advice welcome on fluid intake. Never had cause to think about how much I drink before. Fortunately seeing my alternative practioner in 3 weeks so I'll make sure test is done before then It's

What diet to follow?
My 66 y.o. husband has a Gfr of 53 and 15 to 30 protein in urine. He was first diagnosed 19 months ago and Gfr has changed very little. His PCP tells him to drink more water, lower sodium intake and get tested annually. He went to a Nephrologist that told him to drink less water (no more than 50 oz

How much Gaviscon to take?
Having endured angina type symptoms for more than a year, yesterday I tried Gaviscon for the first time at the suggestion of my GP. I immediately feel a lot better. So now I want to ask everybody about taking Gaviscon. Is it OK to continue taking it indefinitely every day ? The instructions say 10

Hi, I was taking Indapamide for 4 weeks and my BP was great, however my GP has taken me off them as he said my sodium levels are too low, now I'm on Doxazosin and my BP is right back up and I feel rubbish. Anyone else suffer from low sodium levels and if so is there anything you can take to increase

vaginal estrogen and vag valium question
I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies are using both vaginal estrogen cream and vaginal valium suppositories. I'm supposed to insert a valium suppository every night (10mg) and I also insert 1 gram of estradiol cream three nights a week. I'm worried that the valium will keep the estrogen cream

I've been on these and both caused augmentation and with both was increased to maximum dose yet still had restless legs causing sleepless nights, anxiety and depression. Before I went onto medication I found out I was severely anaemic, I don't know how it happened to me as I was previously fit and healthy

Your best adjunct therapy pick
If you could only continue with just one alternative PD therapy, what would it be? (My rather gauche attempt to pick your brains and not re-invent the wheel.) For me, it's MCT oil. What about you?

MRI-guided transperineal biopsy hurt so much
I'm curious if folks have recommendations about how to reduce what was an unbearable pain from the biopsy. I almost passed out and the thought of my next biopsy gives me cold sweats. What hurt was the process of the anesthetic injections. Each one at a deeper layer. It's clear that the anesthetic did
