Wake up please and you will understand.
Last year I was a mess, my ocd hit high levels but alot of that was because I came off valium cold turkey and it gave me a massive physical and psychological major major battle, that breakdown taught me alot my friends and I hope this will serve you well. I suffered and still do at times when stressed

Was found to have seriously low sodium levels..Hyponatremia...Dr said caused by my high BP medication which was discontinued thankful my sodium levels returned to normal. My Dr is not happy to prescribe any high BP med as on checking they can all cause low sodium levels. Am worried about my situation

It's starting out a better year for me.
For the first time since my accident I had a blood test that came back a lot more positive for me than it is. Since i had my TBI i have been having my blood tests done nearly every month which always came back low for sodium. I was diagnosed with SIADH and i changed my diet by myself to help my sodium

Hello I had a heart attack in October and 3 stents fitted. I have unstable angina which gives me pain most days and nights and currently have cold and a chest infection. I’ve also noticed I’m coming out in bruises a lot especially on my legs and arms. I’ve had my medication increased regularly which

Stormy weather but we get through.
With a certain reluctance i once again laid on a New Year's Eve party, my heart wasn't in it and wanting to be anywhere but in my home, will anyone turn up in the atrocious weather?. I cooked a ham, turkey and beef stroganoff, assortment of cheeses and various sweet concoctions. 30 were invited but

HNY!... and a warning for those who lead busy lives (aka all of us)
Firstly, I'm conscious I haven't posted in a while. 2023 has been a tumultuous and stressful year for me personally which involved a very close family member being diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year and much of my life for the next 6 months revolving around that. It's not why I'm here, but

Feeling cold despite overactive thyroid
I feel the cold all the time but GPs can't seem to find an issue. I'm currently in a heated home with three jumpers and two pairs of socks on, plus a blanket! GP did full blood tests, showing an overactive thyroid but all other tests within range (detailed below). I take 100mcg Levothyroxine a day and

I’ve tried sertraline, which kept me awake and made me feel worse. Then they tried Mirtazapine, which seemed to help with sleep and the anxiety

News we've all been waiting for!
Ralph's had the most amazing few days. On Tuesday he had the swallow x-ray and the speech therapist was amazed at the results. Firstly he gave him some sour tasting stuff, which Ralph insisted he tried to see how horrible it was, lol. Then he had barium mixed with water, then barium with yoghurt then

Contrast for CT Scan
I have stage 3a CKD. I had a kidney removed in 2022 due to renal cell carcinoma. I am currently having scans every 6 months. I have asked for no contrast due to my reaction to it, and the doctors has sent in the orders without contrast, however my upcoming scan is scheduled to taken with Barium contrast

90% good news
Ralph doing well and happy with progress. Last Tuesday SALT said leave cuff down for 24 hours from Thursday to Friday morning, and if that went well, leave it down all weekend unless he was in distress. Then the plan was to put in a fenestrated cuffless trachy this Wednesday coming. Best laid plans etc

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

Problems, problems, problems
I take Sinamet, Losartan, and Quietapine before I go to sleep, and after 2 or 3 hours, I wake up and realize that I have Parkinson's, which I forgot while I was sleeping. I'm now awake and in the dark, and the fears of everything threatening me begin to affect me. So I turn on the light, go into

Low Salt Cheddar Cheese
Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any low salt cheddar cheese? I need to go on a low salt/sodium diet and I love cheddar cheese but not so keen on the soft cheeses. Thanks

Scared. Mind is racing. Mom needs heart surgery.
I've posted before kind of on this topic but since I've become more agoraphobic and neurotic and shut down and hiding in my house. My mom needs heart surgery. She is my best friend. She is 82. I am 47. I don't have a partner or kids. I have a brother. He helps sometimes but he isn't completely emotionally

PSA in lower range, yet PSMA PET SCAN shows diffuse bone Metastasis
Dear all , my father latest Total PSA level shows 6.24 which is down after touching 10.45. He was given one infusion of Docetaxel, however, he has been weaned off due to adverse reactions he has had, as his overall condition worsened and he had lot of prolonged mouth sores, with WBCs touching .08 and

Take care my friends on this forum with what chemicals you consume that are hidden in products you may buy. A friend recently told me about some wonderful hot chocolate sachets she had bought in a well known clothes and supermarket shop. She told me how wonderful it was and off I went to get some and

SPECT scan horror
I had a SPECT scan after first does of Pluvicto. I had no idea how horrible a scan could be. There are things that project out to get as close to you as possible. I have had many CT scans MRIs PET scans but this is different. I do have a bit of claustrophobia but never felt this horrible before. They

Post Operative Steroids
I am now home after having a new knee fitted. They kept me in an extra night due to being in surgery much longer than anticipated and low sodium levels, so saline drip overnight. I am guessing I was given more anaesthesia than planned, I am finding that I am more tired than I've ever felt. I can
