Crippling stomach pain, etc. post C/T Scan, Iodine contrast, etc., M.E,/MCAS reactions?
Crippling stomach pain, etc. post CT scan, iodine contrast, etc., M.E,/MCAS reactions? I have been having really bad stomach pains, reflux, etc for some years now, but got worse since L/C, but especially since Celluitis 2 months ago and the awful Flucloxacillin x 2, 48 tabs in all. I had a C/T scan

Valium for the flight
morning all. I had a CA in 2019 and it’s been a long road building up my confidence and trust again but I’m goin on holiday soon but Iam starting to get very nervous about flying. What if I take ill on plane? I’ve heard people take a Valium before flight if nervous. Would that be ok on my heart meds?

What TSH level is too low on NDT + low sodium
Hi All, I switched to NDT 6 weeks ago and have been dialing in my dose. I take Erfa NDT. I raised it up to 1 3/4 tablets, and have just tested my thyroid. I've read a lot of discussions here about NDT and TSH and from what I understand, from this big study when TSH gets lower than 0.3, it increases

Oesophagus/Stomach issues - where to start?
My complaint has been going on for at least 10 years now and the symptoms get worse every year but I am unsure of how to proceed. My symptoms. Every intake of breath seems to increase the pressure in my oesophagus and every few seconds I have to either break the seal by flexing my throat to intake

Royal Free visit
Hi all, I just thought I would give a quick update. I attended the Royal Free Hospital last Thursday ,I was seen in the Scleroderma clinic by a member of the team. She asked questions and examined me, she then went and got a senior colleague,(not Prof Denton) unfortunately can’t remember their names

Barium Swallow and hernia diagnosis.
Having been referred for a Barium swallow, I decided to go for private appointment. which I had today. The radiologist said that I have a hernia, (small) he described it but is more than likely to be the cause of the throat clearing issues, i suspect from acid reflux. So, now next to find out what

Radium 223 instead of enzalutamide
My dad mentioned that he’d like to come off enzalutamide because of always feeling tired and the doc has agreed and is now starting him on a course of
Radium
223
. The aim is to target 2 small bone mets and bring them under control.

In need of support for information
Im so sorry for the long post. In November of 2023 I started noticing difficulties when swallowing. Stomach pain, discomfort. I went to the doctor and was order to get a barium swallow, which showed some narrowing on my esophagus. Then I got an endoscopy that confirmed and benign stricture on my esophagus

Has anyone been using TUDCA or Restore Gold? Have you seen slowing or halting of progression of symptoms?
It looks like TUDCA is one of two ingredients in a drug now being sold to treat ALS, under the brand name Relyvrio in the U.S. (but at an extortionate list price of $158,000 a year) and ALBRIOZA in Canada. Co-formulated sodium phenylbutyrate/taurursodiol (PB/TURSO). Approved by the FDA in Dec. 2022 and

Simulation
I had my markers and spaceoar placed last week and have an appointment for my simulation tomorrow. The valium helped with my procedure last week-I wish I had taken some before the biopsy. Will I need to take something before the simulation, or is it pain free?

Newly diagnosed; so scared, confused, and depressed
Hello. I'm so glad to have found this supportive and helpful community! I apologize for the long post. I first noticed when I received routine bloodwork results a year ago that my eGFR was flagged as low at 80. Since I didn't know what an eGFR was, I started researching and was alarmed to read that
