Ladies, I came to read some of your stories, being new to the forum and you are all are amazing and brave.I am 49 and at a regular annual check a week ago on a transvaginal ultrasound the doctor saw three large masses near my left ovary in addition to pretty heavy endometriosis. My right ovary was removed

Why all of a sudden Endo?
I am aware on here that many people have experienced problems for many years, since puberty. I have what is suspected to be Endometriosis, but I haven't had any problems until the past 2 and a half years. Is this unusual? I know it takes a long time to get a correct diagnosis. I am waiting for a

Good News
It seems unfair to share my good news as I know many on this site are unsure how there diagnosis will go, as I was too at the beginning of my journey. But it is also good to read how many have good results. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer over two years ago now. I had a hysterectomy, six

I’ve been off the Verity boards for over 10 years but I find myself needing new advice as I continue my PCOS life. A lot has happened. I had cancer and a total hysterectomy so I’m experiencing the menopause and PCOS stage. I’ve managed to maintain my weight through constant careful eating but any gains

Deep Infilrative Endometriosis - Recommended Hysterectomy. Age 35.
Hi All, I have been to see a specialist at Endometriosis Centre in Birmingham. He has done an MRI where he can see Endometriosis around my csection scar, my pelvis, back, on bladder and bowel. He's consulting with MDT re bowel and bladder to check it has not infiltrating into there. He has recommended

Buprenorphine, Nausea & Zofran (Ondansetron)
I successfully take 0.4 mg day buprenorphine to treat RLS but the nausea side effect is very troublesome and there does not seem to be a satisfactory plan to get the better of it. I have unsuccessfully tried many anti nausea drugs and methods including Symprove probiotic and seem to be left with only

Need Relief
I have been experiencing pancreatic pain for 6 mos now. Have been to the ED 5 times in that time period. I thought I knew what pain was with my lower back issues - but I was unfortunately mistaken. During these acute pancreatic episodes - the best way to describe the pain is to say that I was out of

Finally finished prednisolone.
Hi all, after just over 7.5 years I've finally managed to stop pred. It's been a very long and slow reduction with the inevitable hiccups along the way. I ended up on 0.5mg every 2 days and finished last week, with no ill effects that I'm aware of. The last PMR symptoms I had were in 2020. What I'd like

Atrial fibrillation now as well!
So all is going rather well on the PMR front with Pred down to 5mg and slow reduction to 4.5 planned, I have a little boat once more, and then hey ho it‘s off off A&E feeling frightful with severe chest pains….. At 3.30am after 12.5 hours in a A&E , lots of cardiograms, bloods, x-ray and a good physical

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis. I've always had heavy periods with period pains that make my thighs numb and require prescription painkillers. At the age of 44 I had some symptoms of perimenopause and tried HRT. After two years I came off and that seems to have triggered a strong reaction

Does anyone have experience of this? I seen an expert gynae BSGE clinical lead and he was so blaze about the fact I may as well just get a hysterectomy since I'm done having kids. I have andenomyosis and endo 6 cysts on one ovary so he said I could keep one which would stop menopause symptoms. But I'm

bleeding 3 years after total hysterectomy
Hello guys , has anyone experienced this at all ? I had total hysterectomy in 2021 out my cervix and uterus taken out . The two ovaries were left because it was stuck to bladder and would cause more complications since bladder specialist wasn’t in the room . I was put on triptorelin on and off till last

Should I have a hysterectomy?
The short version is that I have adenomyosis, but it is well enough managed on zoladex/Tibolone that I'm not having any significant pain and not bleeding enough that it is a problem, but I do have lots of more minor issues and my consultant thinks a hysterectomy would be better. I've got the op booked

Recovering well
Some of you may recall I was going in for a total hysterectomy. I am 10 days post op, doing well and the lupus seems to be behaving itself. Bloods were all good but as many of you will agree, they are not always a good indicator. Talking of blood, having a complete nightmare trying to get my INR back
