Ladies, I came to read some of your stories, being new to the forum and you are all are amazing and brave.I am 49 and at a regular annual check a week ago on a transvaginal ultrasound the doctor saw three large masses near my left ovary in addition to pretty heavy endometriosis. My right ovary was removed 5 years ago during the hysterectomy surgery, because I had plenty of benign cysts on it and the surgeon told me it just could not be saved. The current doctor is particularly concerned about one of of the masses. CA 125 is 52.3. Cytology results to be ready in about a week, but it was recommended to do hysteroscopy and mass/ovary removal asap. I am a foreigner in the country where I work and right now I am trying to figure out how the system works here, fortunately, my colleague is helping me out.
At this moment there is little I can do until I get an appointment with an oncologist and waiting is the worst as everyone here knows first hand.

It's so hard waiting with the unknowns, I remember my anxiety was very high. My Doctor told me to 'remember it isn't cancer until it is' because I was convinced it was cancer and predicted dire outcomes, it did help me plan some pleasureable activities and find times of enjoyment a little more free from worry.
Good to hear you have supportive work colleagues. Do you have anyone else to talk to when you need to? Samaritans are there to listen on 116123 and organisations like Maggies can offer support. Thinking of you and hoping that these are benign x
Hello, in addition to Maggies and Samaritans, you can also get in touch with Ovacome (the charity specialising in support for those of us affected by ovarian cancer and their website is:- ovacome.org.uk/) who moderate this Forum and, amongst many helpful information sheets and webinares, offer a freephone helpline on 0800 008 7054. Depending on your home language, they may be able to offer information in this. Take care and warm wishes, x
