What came first, Chicken or the egg?
Hi. I have spent the last couple of days since I got my new results (see my last post) trying to figure out what is caused by what and I just can't get my head around it. Do I have Hashi's becuase I let my Vitamin D get severely low which in turn lowered my Vitamin B and Phosphate and raised my parathyroid

Interpretation of results
Hello My daughter is feeling under the weather and I suggested she ask her Doc for a blood test for T4, T3 and TSH, as well as iron, B vitamins and D. He refused on the basis that her bloods were taken in April and they were normal. She sent me through the results as follows; Free T4 12.8 (range 12 -

5 Day non-smoker & Feel A Mess
A month ago I had a panic attack in the middle of the store. I had been getting them more frequently, but never as bad as that day. I decided to go to the ER, as I couldn’t get my heart to slow and felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. (Little bg: been a smoker for 19 years, about a pack a day. I’ve

Today's tiny bit of evidence supporting Niagen and Pterostilbene.

Saw the Doctor
I saw the Dr today, gave her the results of my blood test (Thyroid + 11 from Blue Horizon), and asked for an increase in my Levothyroxine from 100 mcg to 125 mcg. After looking at the results she agreed an increase was in order and said to have another blood test in 10/12 weeks, done at the surgery.

MTHFR gene Over/Undermethylation
Hi Everyone, I had a follow-up interview with the GP (not in Canada) who says he doesn't see any signs of the MTHFR gene. He does, however, feel that I have problems with overmethylation rather that undermethylation. I have been using Methylated B12, and he suggested I use Hydroxycobalamin, but I don't

PCa Aggressiveness and Glycemic Levels at Surgery.
New study from Brazil. "Both Gleason score and primary Gleason grade were lower in hyperglycemic patients with prostate cancer than in normoglycemic patients, suggesting a "protective action" of hyperglycemic states." Obviously, this is a blow to those who contine to believe that sugar feeds PCa, but

Should I consider Proton Therapy
I am 75 and otherwise in good shape, I had Radical Prostatectomy in 2015 now 2 years and 3 months later my PSA has been rising, presently on Hormone meds (Casodex) to reduce PSA then should I go with Radiation or the much greater expense (for lodging etc) and have Proton-therapy 350 miles away? Comments

DNA Repair/ Cockayne Syndrome and Niagen.
I knew that nicotinamide riboside was headed for a human clinical trial in Cockayne Syndrome, but I never found any underlying animal model research that explained why researchers were interested in this line of study . . . until today. Just found it. What's interesting is that it links to a plethora

Hello guys. Last time I posted something here it was about frequent seizures and what they could be. I then was diagnosed with Epilepsy very quickly as my doctor witnessed my seizure right in front of his eyes. I was personally never sure if it was epilepsy I just felt like it was something else.
