There are two on MSK I think to apply to me, they are: Post - Radical Prostatectomy - When I plug in my #s it tells me the following: 15-year prostate cancer-specific survival would be ---- 64 % The BCR #s are not too favorable, but the overall survival rate isn't too bad, at my age of 67. Endocrinologist appointment
O.K, I'm not sure if going to the Endocrinologist was a good idea...it has left me with more questions than answers and a 'Massive' invoice to boot. Aside from cost, she took a look at my medichecks report, after I made it VERY CLEAR that I came off my T4 for a number of weeks beforehand. She wanted

Greeting all, i'm a new here. Found this support group while scavenging the internet for information about the disease. I've just been diagnosed this week with a "aggressive localized prostate cancer" as they say. No symptom yet. PSA is 15, G8 and both the biopsy and the MRI says no invasion

Vitamin B12 "normal" Folate low
Vitamin B12 is 365 (normal range 181-910), but my Serum Folate is 5.1 (should be >5.4). My Serum Ferratin was 28ug( (normal 10-291). What does this mean please, Is my B12 OK, and if so why is My Folate low? I want to know how best/what to supplement. Someone mentioned on the Thyroid forum that I may

Comparative Effectiveness of Radical Prostatectomy vs EBRT Plus Brachytherapy in High-Risk Localized Prostate Cancer
This is a study done on "healthy" adults. There are limitations to this study to be sure. It's a population study, and not addressing the advanced disease. Nonetheless, another data point to keep in mind. https://www.practiceupdate.com/C/76714/56?elsca1=emc_enews_topic-alert "TAKE-HOME MESSAGE The comparative

Zoladex & Tibolone
Hello, I was given the Zoladex injection yesterday (didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would, just a sharp sting for a few seconds in the tummy). Now I’m advised to take Tibolone HRT everyday. This treatment is to see how I respond to HRT ahead of a radical hysterectomy. My worry is, my family have

Cramp
Hello you lovely lot, I wondered if any of you suffer with this. it is severe cramp in the upper part of my neck, on the right hand side, leading to my ear. It goes on and on and lasts several minutes where my head becomes immobile. It continues like this for possibly a whole day, with breaks in between

Stop taking vitamins before blood tests?
Hello! I'm new here. I've not been diagnosed, but I have many, many symptoms, so going to ask GP to investigate. I may have had thyroid tests done before as part of routine blood tests, so will ask for previous results when I go. I was wondering if I should stop taking vitamins before having blood tests

Second consultant meeting this week - for cirrhosis....
Morning all, So despite being two months after the target date, my second post-hospital consultation is on Thursday and I’m getting into a flap (in a fear of stage fright way) about having everything I need on my list - most of us know how precious these appointments are and I really, really don’t want

WHAT ABOUT OTHER B VITAMINS
I have read that B-1 interferes with other B vitamins. I've also read that B6 is depleted in PD patients that are taking Levodopa.

Will Levo still work if vitamins aren't optimal?
I had an ultrasound last Friday which shows damage, I have to wait 10 days before my GP will get the results. My idea over these few weeks was to build up my vitamin levels, test them via Medichecks and then go back to my gp and request Levo. My problem is my bladder. Its a big problem actually which

Reposting of comments on depression and the gut. How to heal the gut naturally
The following has been copied from another thread and covers issues about the role of the gut in depression, and ACAC has such useful advice here about how to heal the gut that I have reposted it for people who missed that thread. My husband has had depression and anxiety for quite a few years prior

Stage 1 NHL Folliculor
I was diagnosed in April 2014, I did one year of chemo and two years of mtce. The doctor said if it doesn't comeback in 2018 it will not come back. I feel so weak at times I am just wondering if this is the norm and if I will ever feel myself again. I still work but just dragging. Is there

So repeated thyroid panel with Medichecks and here are the results- slightly improved from Feb. Have been taking b vitamins recommended by Seaside Susie and am overall better- well as well as you can be with CFS/ME. So do these results look normal for someone without thyroid disease? Medichecks doctor
