Nocturnal leg cramps
My father had it but not as bad as me. I am talking about my painful muscle cramps which usually occurs when I am about to get out of bed. Usually affects one leg, sometimes both legs, usually last few seconds but feels much longer than that, usually it goes off when I flex my ankle many times but sometimes

MY OPINIONS ON THE EFFECTS OF HYDROXYCHLORAQUIN (OR LET'S CALL IT JUST HC
In 2012 I was taken to Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge with severe skin rash - particularly on my back, where skin was peeling like sunburn and leaving red patches. A young F1-grade doctor suggested that HC might be suitable because of the Quinine content, which had worked for other skin problems

QUININE
Has anyone tried Quinine for RLS? GP in the England says either up the Pramipexole dose 0.18 or try quinine. Definitely don't want to up the Pramipexole again. Going to hospital for a fasting blood test as well. Yippee! Keeping fingers crossed that they find something in my bloods like iron deficiency

Has anyone knowledge /experience with Quinine for RLS?
My RLS continues even with Gabapentin 1500 nightly , Tramadol 200 nightly , zopiclone and CBD gelcaps. I recently saw an internist who prescribed quinine nightly. I read that is not recommended by the FDA for RLS or leg cramps . I don’t want to take it but I’m wondering does any one else have experience

cramps and other side effects of spironolactone
I recently raised the issue I had been suffering over the last few months - excruciatingly painful full leg cramps, and sometimes accompanied by stomach and arm cramps. I spoke with my GP about this, had a blood test which showed normal levels of everything.....and no reason given apart from that this

Cramp!
Think I may have asked about this before but does anyone have a “ Go to” remedy for night cramps? These are really vicious in my calves & feet, have tried quinine (on the loo pretty much all day) drinking more, bananas, tonic water, magnesium tablets. After yet another bad night I’m really desperate!

Quinine in tonic water
Just a little question. I’ve read that quinine is not good for people with arythmia. I don’t drink alcohol, not for over ten years as it really doesn’t go with my medication, but have recently found alcohol free gin, and although I have never been a gin drinker, the no alcohol ones are rather nice.

severe thigh cramps
I have heart failure and had a CRT-D device fitted in 2016. I also take several different drugs with the dosages often increased or lowered. I have learned that as much as the drugs alongside the CRT-D device are keeping my body going, they have caused CKD. Over the past few months I have been woken

Hi Frazzle You poor old thing!!! You've really been through the wringer, haven't you? Doctor has just prescribed Quinine Sulphate.
I would really appreciate your thoughts. Having endured some terrible nights with Restless Legs symptoms I finally approached my Doctor via telephone call. He decided that the first line of treatment would be a course of Quinine Sulphate. I have heard conflicting reports about Quinine. Has anyone tried

Advice
So last Saturday my back felt a twinge and two seconds later I was walking like I hadn’t made it to the toilet. Yes my back had gone. Fast forward to the Sunday and it was like nothing had happened to my back. Felt discomfort but only when overstretching. It’s now 4 days on and I still have the cramp
