help to find therapy
hello, I’m new here having suffered with PP with my first child in summer 2021. What a traumatic and horrible illness it is. I am doing so much better but still struggle with feelings of sadness, traumatic memories, intrusive thoughts and worry for the future. I had really helpful therapy with a psychologist

6 years on after mtbi abroad and only just accepting I’ve got PTSD and/or chronic PCS but difficulty getting help/diagnosis from GP
I had a nasty slip fall in summer 2017 while working abroad and had loss of consciousness and concussion. It wasn’t handled well by (U.K.) employers and looking back, I only received basic healthcare. In shock and unable to continue working, I just wanted to get as far away as possible and to forget

ADHD with Aggressive Physical Violence
My daughter just turned 8 last month. Since the start of the 2nd grade her ADHD has gotten worse. We are on our 4th non-stimulant (the first 3 had bad side effects). The Dr's first tried Ritalin but that gave her severe anxiety. beginning in the 2nd grade her emotional disregulation started going to

Do you have a higher power?
I'd love to hear from you. I'm glad I found this group, it's so good to know I'm not alone. Reading our shares, I hear so much pain. I wonder if my experience could help. Forgive me if I sound preachy, that's not my intention at all. Connecting with my higher power changed everything. My therapist

Dealing with 24/7 FEAR
I won't go into a long history of my panic/anxiety GAD but the last 10 yrs have been horrible ...yes I'm on meds, see a therapist and physciatrist.....but the last 3 months have been out of control. Does anyone else constantly think of death and live your entire day in FEAR? I have tried everything

Seeking mast cell disorder diagnosis
I was very pleased to find your support group and would really appreciate some advice. I think I may well have a mast cell disorder/histamine intolerance. I have read quite a lot about it and my symptom profile seems to fit very well. Symptoms started about 12 years ago and worsened with two episodes

I was told about this a few days ago by the APP (Advanced Physio Practitioner) at my GP surgery, (It may well be already on Lupus UK somewhere). Yes, neuropathic pain was explained to me a long time ago plus I learned all about how pain is transmitted to the brain during Human Biology lessons approx

ANOTHER MEMBER, CSHobie (CHARLES) HAS LEFT US FOREVER.
Friday Morning, February 10, 2023 a member Charles (CSHobie) passed away. His dear wife and caregiver, Elke, posted the news and wrote that based on the conversation with his oncologist and the internal medicine specialist, it wasn't cancer that killed him.
ELKE:

New to this kind of thing
I've never tried something like this before, but I'm desperate to feel better. I have had anxiety and depression most of my life to varying degrees. But this last year my anxiety has been horrible. I have medication and a therapist. but nobody else to talk to. My anxiety can be so bad I get anxious

Using a massage gun for pain relief.
Does anyone have experience of or an opinion on using a massage gun, carefully, for shoulder and back pain relief when on an anti coagulant? I see a sports massage therapist who helps quite a bit but it's expensive to go regularly and the massage gun might help in between sessions.

Advice for finding a therapist for ADHD daughter?
Hi! I have a 9 year old daughter who likely has ADHD. She constantly feels like an outsider, like she doesn't fit in, like she isn't "good enough", like she is different. She is actively asking for someone to talk with -- a specialist who really understands what it's like to have a brain like hers

Off topic Friday: A wonky badger
Our supermarket sells wonky fruit and vegetables. We buy them happily, telling them: "You are tasty. You are enough. We will enjoy you." When I finished this portrait, I realised she is a little wonky. "Not matter," I told her. "I think you are cute. I shall enjoy having you in my collection of drawings

Harm OCD
Hi there everyone! I have been struggling with harm ocd for the last 5 months. I am 25 years old, I am a mom of two babies ages 2 and 1, and this issue has caused me great distress. It has really affected how I interact with my children since my ocd is continuously having intrusive thoughts of harming
