I want to feel normal again :(
I have been dealing with so much, I don't even know where to start. In January, I accepted a position that relocated me to a different state with mor pay. During the move, I lost my cousin in a hit and run, my dad passed away, once I got settled in the new home, my job retracted my contract and made

Therapy over my Therapy
In my last post I mentioned that I am starting a new relationship and that we have plans to meet again soon. We have our second date planned for tommorrow. My last post was about having OCD on where to meet her. Today, I had a therapy session with an OCD specialist because I had been questioning obsessively

My BF pushed me away really hard last night (not physically)
Some background: We have an open phone policy due to past mistakes on his part. He agreed to the open phone policy. I am easily paranoid by Itty bitty things. He had his phone turned slightly away from me while we were watching a movie. So I asked to see his phone and saw he had Google open so I wanted

residential advice for anxiety, trauma, ocd but no substance abuse
Seeking a place for 22 year old daughter. Deciding between different places, but OCDI Texas one of them. She also has trauma, body dysmorphia and depressed a bit. Recent dx of OCD, actually. We always treated the anxiety, so not sure if her OCD is bad enough. (We live near Boston so we know McLean).

The disease is in thought, environment, perception and inherited information. Then it goes into our body chemistry.
I had a fabulous summer. Living in a natural paradise, having a vegetable garden, bathing in the river, meditation, Chikung, electric bike rides in the mountains, fresh air and springs, redox molecule supplements, electro-stimulation with micro-currents, etc. have all made my Parkinson's "even better

Don’t want to be alive, can’t be dead.
Note: I am not suicidal. The only thing heavier than my depression is the responsibility as the only support system for my children. I. Will. Not. Leave. Them. No. Matter. How. Bad. It. Gets. Yes, I am aware that this is Suicidal Ideation. And yes, the program that I am waitlisted for is aware of

Hello to all, After my recent dx...shock...I decided to read other posts before I shared my story. I appreciate hearing about the travelling and CTGirl1962 mentioned handling this like a chronic illness... I have been a breast cancer survivor since 2010. That year my birthday present was having a

Tips for preparing talk therapy. Bottom up approach.
This is not all the list. But for those who are getting better or using talk therapy feel free to add yours in. Unfortunately, I have not done a lot of personal research on Children, so if there is a parent who is using talk therapy focused on children and you find it is helpful, it would be

Hi. I'm new. I worry too much.
About my health, about my kids, about my job, about my house. I've been to a dozen therapists and tried many medications. Benzos are the only ones that are effective. I thought I'd get over this when I gold older. I'm almost 63 and it's about as bad as it's ever been.

Here at Wobbly Corners
When the so-called tropical depression came up the Mid Atlantic coast, here in Central Virginia we had several days of winds (with some very exuberant gale force bursts) that brought down one large pine and an abundance of smaller limbs, branches, twigs and leaf clusters. When things began to dry out

Death scares just a glimpse
Thoughts are only what they are for a blink of an eye. You are in pain and you have been for years from the exhaustion of depression. You don’t really want to end your life as you have too many people that love you or that you love. Just for a moment though you think what if. What if I overdosed or took

Is it just me?
Hi all. I have been at this for almost 4 years. I really like my Onc and the team is very nice. But.... I find it odd that in all that time not one nurse or MD has asked: - How are you coping? - How is the financial hit since you can't work - any need for referral to therapist? - How is your family/

Why is it so hard to get started again?
Happy World Mental Health Day everyone! Today, I have been reflecting about the road ahead and I feel as though I have so many barriers in front of me to get through. I am so sad to think the energy I expended trying to force my way past my (as of that time) unidentified mental health issues, heart
