Does this sound like Anxiety and Depression?
Sorry for the long post, I really need some guidance please. I have no prior issues with mental health, and have always been very resilient. I can be hard on myself and negative at times, but never to the extent of depression. Since July last year I feel like I’ve been coasting at work when I’m normally

Not a great update
Dan had 3 seizures during the night so they have decided to put him in an induced coma. Hopefully this is what he needs to make a full recovery. The hospital staff brought me a tea and some biscuits (I think they've taken pity on my emotional pregnant state) I'd planned to go home at lunchtime, (I

anyone else have feeling that they are drunk or out of their body?
hey, I’m looking for some help with something I experienced recently. I have had my ocd under control for a while now, and have been taking my medication (fluoxetine) regularly. Recently, I went away on a trip with friends and had not taken my medication regularly. And one night I got extremely intoxicated

Appointment
I have a virtual appointment with my therapist tomorrow. I'm a little nervous that when I am honest about everything that has been going on, he will suggest that I go to the ER or be admitted to the hospital. That has happened once before and honestly, I'm probably feeling the same or worse as I was

Not just ocd
I made a post a little bit ago about having other symptoms I think may be ocd, and now I've looked into it more I'm still not sure- I was wondering if anyone had any tips to bring it up with a therapist or if they themselves could have a look at the symptoms with me and help think of anything that might

help doesn't feel available
I've been depressed since I was 9 years old and my entire life I've been trying to seek help. My parents dismissed me and very few teachers took me seriously. I had a few counselors in my youth but nothing stuck and my mental illness got more severe. At 13, I was unable to leave the house and care for

I don't know where to turn...
I have suffered with health anxiety and GAD for many many years . I am on medication, I see a therapist, I try all types of suggested therapies but one issue will not ease off or go away. I wonder if anyone else can relate. As soon as I wake in the morning, I have a feeling of pressure and FEAR just

Psychiatrist #2 (update)
I think it went okay this time. Ignoring the anxiety and paranoia that is telling me it didn't, I talked a lot more (and maybe a little too much but I am sure they are used to that from other patients). I am now going on Zoloft, as Wellbutrin was doing super terribly for me. I now am also trying a medicine

Why do I feel like l am dying every day? I ask myself all these questions that all can be nswered with a simple answer, "anxiety." treatment
hi everyone. I've been struggling pretty bad these past couple years and I think it's time to look into treatment, but I'm not sure where to start. talk therapy has always done more harm than good, so that's a no. other than that there's a whole lot out there and I'm not even sure where to start researching

Face massage three weeks after ablation?
OK here’s a weird one: I had my cryoablation three weeks ago and am recovering well. Wanting a treat, and feeling that I was looking old, I booked myself a face massage for tomorrow. But the therapist is worried about doing it this soon after ablation. She seems to be concerned about stimulating the

Relationship advice
I have been with my husband for 31 years, we've had a lot of rough times along the way. When I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago it led to a better understanding between us but within 6 months my brother (who I was estranged from, as well as my mother) hung himself. My world was blown apart and

Trigger warning- Is this self-harm?
About 6 weeks ago, I started to bite my lip mostly due to chapped lips. They cracked and bled. I finally got a hold of the chapped lips but gained a new habit. I now have been biting the inside of my cheeks enough to leave sores. Half the time I don’t notice that I am doing it. It seems that this is

crunchy Foods
Here's something I've discussed with my Therapist and want your take on: As adults with ADHD, why do we concentrate better if we eat crunchy food? Is it because we subconsciously are concentrating on the crunching, or is it because we're doing 2 things at a time, and that allows us to concentrate

Hi I'm Debby and I'm in the USA in Utah. I have been dealing with constant pain all over, abdominal pain, constipation that lasted sometimes 17 days with no help from anything, slirred speech, loss of the ability to walk flat( I walk on my tipsy toes) and need a cane, walker or scooter to get around
