Therapy and Resources
Hello all, I am new to the site and hoping to connect with a community of parents who are sharing the same struggle. We have been on a journey to find a therapist for our son who was formerly diagnosed with ADHD a couple years ago. Over the last year we have seen my son's struggles go from mainly academic

My ADHD Life in a Nutshell
Hello, I am 59 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD, inattentive type, in 2020 after years and years of frustration, self-doubt, and tanking self-confidence. I also have several other mental health and educational diagnoses: co-dependency, major episodic depression, reading disorder, short-term memory

Double chuckle
After 30 years of marriage, a husband and wife went for counseling. The wife went into a tirade, listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married. On and on and on, she went: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry-list

Struggle with following through
29dx , male, medicated I've been in therapy 5yrs and medicated for years, I've been given the tools from therapists and my partner. With all this info and help there's no consistent follow through. I know it's because of my memory, and impulsiveness, as well as emotional regulation and getting angry

Therapist specializing in transplants and donation
Hello everyone - Does anyone know of a therapist who has experience helping people with transplants and the donation process? I'm having difficult feelings I don't feel proud of related to who in my life has or has not offered to get tested...and then who has followed up with the testing; but cognitively

My story - medical professional with severe multi-drug resistant major depressive disorder, and general anxiety disorder.
I am glad to find this community. I just signed up, and it prompted me to tell my story. What I put down in my profile, with some edits, is a good intro: I am diagnosed with multi-drug resistant major depressive disorder, aka, treatment resistant depression, general anxiety disorder, and substance abuse

Just Starting our ADHD Journey
Our daughter was diagnosed with ADHD just before she turned 6. We suspected that she had it at age 3, or at least I did when watching her with her classmates at a pre-school function. Her classmates were showing their parents around, activity to activity, our kiddo was a bumble bee in a bottle. Wanting

Truth and Lies
Does anybody else struggle with when to tell the truth and when to lie? I'm constantly anxious about it, because socially I know being a liar is bad but at the same time it isn't appropriate to tell the truth all the time because it might violate our or others boundaries. I frequently struggle with guilt

a little better?
hi everyone I think I am slowly getting better, but then I wake up and the mornings are hard. I have really bad morning anxiety. Yesterday I was able to eat three normal meals. A bagel for breakfast, pasta for lunch, and then I had breakfast for dinner (waffles and sausage). I’m trying really hard

Fear of Cancer Recurrence
Hello, I am currently suffer from extreme health anxiety over the fear that my skin cancer will reoccur. I have had three small spots of skin cancer removed in the last year and at 45 I’m terrified that I won’t live much longer. None of them have been melanoma, so that is a little good news. And

Panic! at the ER
It’s hard to describe how I’m feeling. I’ve been having multiple severe panic attacks and I’ve also had headaches for the last 22 days straight. Last night it all got so bad that I collapsed and my room mates called for an ambulance and I spent 12 hours in emergency. I was cleared for anything urgent

I know how you are feeling...
About 8 months ago I was soo scared to walk outside; I would freak out and hit the ground when headlights flashed my way at night. I also began to hear voices, to the point where I thought my roommate was planning on setting me up; to this day I'm not sure if he was or it was auditory hallucinations.

Encouragement
Over the last 23 weeks, I've taken a few minutes of my day, and recorded various resources helpful to me and my dealing with my ADHD. While I hope they've been helpful to others, I must admit I've done them as much for myself- to show the progress that's taken place within me since my diagnosis. I appreciate
