switching to a carnivore diet has put my PMR into total remission
She decided to put me on methotrexate (stiff dose, 25mg once a week) because that is a treatment for both RA and
PSA
. I find the methotrexate unpleasant (it has side effects) but am giving it a try until I see her again in late May. (Rheumy appointments are not readily available!)

gleason score
first clue was
psa
250 then 300 on re-check. Psma showed local mets to nodes and suspicious to nodes in back. Started lupron 2 weeks ago. Just had biopsy which showed gleason score of 4+3= 7. Im happily shocked, was prepared for a 10. i’m not sure what to even think about this.

Rising PSA after SBRT
Yesterday, I went for my blood test...my
PSA
had risen to 14.9 from 8.5 in March.I had expected the
PSA
to decline after SBRT. What does the increase in
PSA
mean? That the rib met was a false positive? What are the recommended treatments now going forward?

Thinking of Active Surveillance with 3+4
My last
PSA
was 5.4 and I'm a T1c I'm 55, excellent shape and have no ed issues. I've met with Dr.Lau and Dr. Dorff from City of Hope as well as Dr. Kishan from UCLA They all have said that with my low psi and stage, they'd be ok with AS and would put me on a follow up program to monitor.

Cognition Issues
It brought his
PSA
from 14 to 4.5 and it is just setting around there for about 3 months. He just had a PSMA scan, a CT scan and an MRI all of which were NED.

PSA from secondary deposits!
I had a radical prostatectomy in 2012 and my
PSA
levels until about a year ago were undetectable. I was then on annual
PSA
blood tests, but now they have put them up to 3 monthly as the
PSA
has risen, although still very low at around 0.2 .

Painful Peeing/Tamsulosin post RP
My

PSA Rise
Just received my
PSA
results. Fifth (5th) over the last 12 months. The numbers went from <.02 four months after RT to .04 today. I had no further intervention since RT except for exercise and diet. I am trying to figure out the way ahead. Any thoughts??

Docetaxel after rising PSA
Hi, Normally I will begin a docetaxel cure (6 x 3 weeks) in a few months (
PSA
is rising a lot after 4 years of Zytiga). Do you have an idea of the efficacity ratio of such a treatment ? Thx

2 years into Stage 4 Treatment
Overall he has tolerated the treatments well and is feeling good and his
PSA
has remained undetectable. He has a doctor appointment with the oncologist this week and my father told me they are planning on discontinuing ADT and will monitor his
PSA
every 3 months.

It's still there; now what?
After a few undetectable
PSA
readings following a prostatectomy, 15 months of Eligard and salvage radiation, my latest reading is 0.03. The oncologist suggests waiting until the next
PSA
test in November to see the rate of change and once it hits a threshold, I will have another PSMA scan.

Anyone have experience with Provenge? Especially on PSA tests?
My was
PSA
lowered to less than 1. Initial PET scan found no spreading cancer, however a PSMA scan in Oct 2022 found cancer spreading to lymph nodes but no other organs. For the past several months my
PSA
has been rapidly rising, doubling approximately every month .

Abiraterone - alternatives
However the onco is now saying he will pull him off the Abi as his
PSA
has doubled for the each of the 2 months he’s been on it. In the UK once you’ve been on Abi for 3 months you can’t get Enzalutamide - should we therefore be asking for Enza before the 3 months are up ?

testosterone finally moving up after Treatment.
My
psa
had held at .04 up until I went over 250. At 300 it went to .12 and now back to .09. I was always to afraid to take the supplement but the way I feel now makes me wish I had. I was told to by a couple very good doctors.
