Painful Peeing/Tamsulosin post RP

Hi Everyone,

It's been about 1.5 year since my RP. My psa is .4 and generally life is great-ish.

The ish part of this is the following:

With Tamsulosin, I pee alot during the night...4-6 x...which leaves me exhausted the next day. Without it, I get up 2x a night and generally sleep better and for the next two weeks will stay off of it to see how I manage.

Without Tamsulosin, peeing is often painful...urgent, then delayed and painful at the base of my dick...sometimes at the end of my dick...ouch.

I saw my urologist a few weeks ago and my bladder was not impacted by the radiation. and I was good to go according to him.

However, I am generally fatigued and yawn and nap frequently. I am normally an energizer bunny kinda guy.

Does anyone have similar experiance?

Thanks guys!

T

Antibiotics don't help? Do you refrain from drinking anything at night, and cut back on fruit juices and caffeine?Especially important to refrain from cranberry juice. Try a different alpha-blocker.
