Just got my blood test results: Testo less 0.1 ng/ML and
PSA
still undetectable. Tomorrow I’ll receive my next 3-month Lupron shot, which will finalize my 24-month ADT after prostate bed and whole pelvic radiation.

PSMA PET
I am 60 years old,
PSA
6.03 and diagnosed with PC after a TRUS biopsy January 22. The biopsy showed 5 of 12 samples with cancer. Of the 5 samples, 4 were on the right side and were 3 +3=6. The 5th sample was on the left and was 3+4=7. My Urologist sent me for a PSMA PET scan on February 22.

Prostatitis or PCA or both?
On levo, but still
PSA
is high 13 most recently. With levo sensitive to bacteria found, I thought my
PSA
should have come down by now. Could it be rare Pca? Anyone else with similar experience?

Metformin and rosuvastatin
3 years ago I was diagnosed with unfavorable Gleason 7, with an initial
psa
of 6.4. Three months later I had an RP and have been undetected since. This week I started taking metformin for high sugar levels, I have also been on first atorvastatin and now rosuvastatin for 3 years.

Psa
was 4.5 and Gleason 9 disease. MRI said no worrisome bone signalling whatever that means. Had surgery but
psa
persisted at 1.7. Path. Report showed regional spread but 3 lymph nones removed were clear. Eligard shot, Casodex for a month and 33 EBRT treatments.

how statins slow growth of prostate
Here is my recent
PSA
history: 0.484 on 6/26/23, 0.400 on 7/24/23, 0.541 on 8/24/23, and finally 0.483 on 9/14/23. Another relevant fact is that I went on a plant based diet starting about 6 months ago and it is know that for some people this stabilizes or even reduces
PSA
.

After BCR and PSA Return: An Update on My Treatment Path
Even better, my latest
PSA
tests keep coming back at <.01, which is a fantastic result. Treatment Recap: When my
PSA
levels were low and around .5, I utilized PSMA scans to identify the likely primary source of the rising
PSA
. It identified some potential hot spots in the vertebrae and ribs.

ADT for a year?
Three months out my
Psa
is .03. Am on Lupron for the fourth month out of a projected 12 month stint. Do docs ever say, six or nine months is enough? Testosterone at 6 right now.

Moved from Abi to Nubeqa and saw a PSA increase
I recently switched from Abiraterone/Prednisone to Nubeqa because of the high blood pressure that I had with Abi requiring additional BP meds. I was previously .058 a month ago when I switched and .109 today, almost double in a month. Any one with experience with this switch?

What to do?
On 9/13/23 my
PSA
was 5.7, 10/30/23 8.25 and 11/27/23 it’s now 16.72. This year has been a shit show. I know my MO will put me on pluvicto. Here’s my quandary: I am a single gay man. Parents gone. No siblings. All I have to really live for are my cats.

still here
I am still on 0
PSA
with advanced cancer. My journey is on my bio. I was diagnosed at 47 and now I’m 54 with no progression. My primary treatment was Zytiga and it is still working. I take a concoction of vitamins and regularly do hot cold therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Food supplements I hope will help
I had:
PSA
30, Gleason 10, PCa Stage 4 localized to pelvic region. Treated with IMRT radiation + Eligard + Abiraterone.
PSA
undetectable. Stopped Abiraterone due liver that hates it (liver is ok). Will try Nubeqa, and may switch to Orgovyx after Eligard runs out in December.

Rp on july of 22 for gleason 3+4 with
psa
of 16. PT3b, pN1 with negative margins and 2 of 11 lymph nodes involved. I took a nomogram online and came out 75% likely for recurrence. My first
psa
post op was .02, then .03, .04, .04, .05 in late august- so I've crossed line #1.
