Specialty to start with?
I am 77 and if I do any treatments I would lean toward
proton
therapy
. I had an appointment with urologist at Penn Medicine, because my PCP suggested starting there. She recommended getting a biopsy. I can't have an MRI due to pacemaker.

low back problems
I had 44 sessions of
proton
beam
therapy
ending 4/7/23. My PSA has been undetectable since early in my ADT regimen, and remained so as recently as 2 weeks ago. I began to have low back pain, sometimes extending to my hips and glutes, but no further, around 6 weeks ago.

Is my recovery typical or more novel
I had ADT from 7/22 till 12/22 and received
Proton
beam
therapy
for 44 sessions from 12/22 till 2/23. After 6 months I tested PSA=0.45. Is this common in the greater population for approximately equivalent patients? Also the prostate still functions which is stunning considering all the radiation.

I can’t believe I’m now in this club.
I’m sure like many, I’m looking at photon cyberknife radiation
therapy
,
proton
radiation
therapy
, and surgery (which I am leaning away from.) The doctor said I don’t have to rush, but frankly, I want to get on with this the sooner the better.

However I woke up to abdominal pain, pain between shoulder blades and sore throat. 3 nights post op woke up to a burning

Nocturnal asthma
Hi, I hope everyone is well. I'm not too sure if there's any point in me posting this but maybe more of a way to vent. Since turning 29-30, I've spent the last 7 years struggling with nocturnal asthma and flare ups that usually get their worst in July -august and grass pollen season. Also causing some

Extreme fatigue. Any solution?
This is wiping me out. Honestly. It tends to start at about 5 pm and lasts for about 2/3 hours. I used to take Whey protein to counter it but this appears to not hit the spot. I’m utterly exhausted when this phenomenon strikes and am wondering if anyone has any ideas? I take B1 daily (Superior Source

Creatine and Whey protein
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in July 2020. In the last year I have lost weight by around 3.5 kg I went to a nutritionist because of the weight loss and, in particular, the loss of muscle mass.In addition to a diet and the recommendation to continue going to the gym twice a week for bodybuilding,

Whey protein ?
I stumbled across a study that I thought would be of interest to those who struggle with getting enough protein without interfering with meds. Unfortunately it's just the abstract, so no info on dose/delivery methods; https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36786430/ "[i]Conclusions: Our results show that whey

Can a dialysis patient use protein power?
My protein level is low even with the Pro-Stat the kidney center gives to me, Is it ok to use whey protein powder? i mean in it the potassium is 160 mg per serving, Cholesterol is 55mg. I'm a dialysis person.I'm thinking cutting the per serving to half so to decrease the potassium.
