Monopost and hayfever medication
Hi - I am using Monopost for high IOP. I have narrow angles but no Glaucoma. I used to use Piriton for hayfever but have read that it is not good to take hayfever medication when you have narrow angles. Has anyone else been told this and if so is there anything else you can take for hayfever symptoms

Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

low back problems
I had 44 sessions of
proton
beam
therapy
ending 4/7/23. My PSA has been undetectable since early in my ADT regimen, and remained so as recently as 2 weeks ago. I began to have low back pain, sometimes extending to my hips and glutes, but no further, around 6 weeks ago.

Is my recovery typical or more novel
I had ADT from 7/22 till 12/22 and received
Proton
beam
therapy
for 44 sessions from 12/22 till 2/23. After 6 months I tested PSA=0.45. Is this common in the greater population for approximately equivalent patients? Also the prostate still functions which is stunning considering all the radiation.

Is it ok to have soya based protein shakes daily ?
I have been giving dad whey protein shake but I want to add the amount of protein so was thinking of adding a non dairy source such as soya protein or pea protein. Is it alright to take a soya based protein shake or other soya and tofu products on a regular basis ?

oesophageal cancer/ivor Lewis
hoping for some help my dad had an Ivor Lewis 6 years ago. He’s is his 80’s now. I’m very worried as he’s been having issues with gagging then pain, he also gets constipated. He’s just had a scan and endoscopy and all as well as it can be in that area. Dad is just skin and bone and I’m concerned as

PD: the gut, covid, etc.
Good afternoon, I was diagnosed with PD by DatScan 3 weeks ago (age 50). As I'm sure is standard at this stage in my diagnosis, I am trying to navigate my way through the wealth of information out there. I am fluctuating between self-pity, defiant positivity, and utter bewilderment. I’m so very grateful

Anyone tried Well Red (red light therapy) products? or any other brand?
If the question has already been asked, could anyone point me out to a similar thread? Would like to know if anyone tried the red light therapy helmets from Well Red or any other brand and if they had positive reviews? Truly appreciate the feedback

Treatment Preferences in Patients with Hypothyroidism: an Analysis of Eleven Randomized Controlled Trials
I have only read this abstract - once, and very quickly - hence no real comments. But patients preferring combination treatment is hardly a surprise. We'd probably prefer our own nicely working thyroid - which would be producing T4 and T3. Wouldn't it? [i]Treatment Preferences in Patients with Hypothyroidism

Tuesday's Tip
I've read in Dr. Jones' book that often the use of light therapy has been shown to help patient's itching. It has been used for years in newborns to help break down neonatal jaundice. It's thought to break down the jaundice pigment in the skin. The trick is the decide how much sunlight or light therapy

Got in a mess over reduction of T4
If possible could greygoose TiggerMeor anyone else offer some much needed advice. A few weeks ago I reduced t4 to 75/100 over one week (high t4) I felt very under medicated so then increased again. I then changed to a lactose free make to see if accord was causing the acid reflux. Recently

Abiraterone/prednisone plus olaparib extends time to progression in BRCA/ATM mutated prostate cancer.
I have already talked about this data, but it's worth repeating...plus when I see dr Hussain I always smile! “Our data showed that the combination therapy resulted in more than two-fold increase in the median time to disease progression compared to single-agents or sequentially following progression

Asking for your stories and help
Hi, I'm new here. Yesterday, after 2 years of searching, my 75-year-old mother was finally diagnosed. We are from Poland, where there is no other treatment apart from amantadine and levodopa. There are also no websites or support groups like yours. That's why I would like to ask if, apart from a physiotherapist
