Prostatectomy
in Late January, Lupron starred week 4, radiation starts this month then a run of chemo (recommended by my urologist and oncologist) PSA has almost gotten to that magic <0.1, was 0.26 just 8 weeks after surgery which was a pleasant surprise for my Urologist and oncologist.

IMRT only without radical prostatectomy
My urologist at Kaiser and the second opinion at Johns Hopkins both recommended IMRT alone since the probability was low that prostate cancer was confined to my prostate (I also calculated probabilities with pretreatment Kattan and Partin nomograms) and the significant toxicity associated with

I had a
prostatectomy
in March, 2014. Unfortunately PSA didn't drop much. I decided to get colonoscopy which showed prostate cancer on my rectum. I had a prostate cancer specific contrast agent and PET scan developed at JH which showed cancer was localized in the rectum. I had RT at Johns Hopkins.

Post prostatectomy/ PSA remains undetectable
5 years post robotic
prostatectomy
. I'm 63 , in good shape , exercise regularly. Still have bouts of depression as post surgery my life is so drastically different. PSA is undetectable. Still have times I long for my old life.

I had a radical
prostatectomy
September 30, 2015. (DaVinci) PSA 10.0 Gleason score was 4+4=8. Today my PSA 0.4. However incontinence is still present. Not to bad, but not completely healed yet either, also impotence is a big problem. Any ideas on how to try to fix these two issues?

Suffering from incontinence?
I had a radical
prostatectomy
, followed by 35 treatments of radiation a year later and underwent a orchiectomy a year later. Since that time I have been cancer free.

A Personal Introduction
As a result I underwent a radical
prostatectomy
and cystectomy (bladder removal) along with lymph nodes and my appendix. The surgery took over 11 hours to perform and required the creation of a stoma (urostomy) using part of my small bowel for urination purposes.

Radiation
In October, I had a radical
prostatectomy
at the VA hospital. In January, I had a follow-up PSA test with a level of 0.07. The doctors told me it should be 0.00 but no more than 0.02 so I still have cancer somewhere in the tissue. My Gleason index was 4+4 after the surgery.

My Intro - Ned in St Louis
Had a
prostatectomy
in Oct 2010. Gleason was 7 (4+3). Both seminal vesicles were involved and staging was Tc3. One positive margin in the surgical pathology. Had hormone therapy (Zoladex) in 2011. At same time had IMRT (radiation), with 37 treatments.

My introduction
My cancer showing resistance in 2010, I had a radical
prostatectomy
on medical advice. The most soul destroying day of my life was when the surgeon told me that there was no sign of cancer, so it must have metastasized elsewhere. I have been cycling though my regime of drugs ever since.

First 3 months on combined androgen blockade...
In May 2002 I had radical
prostatectomy
at Sloan Kettering in NY. My Gleason grade was 4 + 3 = 7 and pathology showed spread to a seminal vesicle but otherwise margins were clear. After surgery my PSA fell to a nadir of 0.003 (Nov 2002).

Living with Metastatic Prostate Cancer
The urology center had a surgeon employed so the doctor recommended a radical
prostatectomy
. There were two people at work that had the procedure and they highly recommended that I do the same. So I interviewed surgeons only, and had a radical
prostatectomy
in November 2010.

Lipids & aggressive PCa in the PRACTICAL consortium
The study included some men with "biochemical recurrence following radical
prostatectomy
", but there is no mention of how many, in this small study, were on ADT.
