Has anyone tried these herbal supplements? Zyflamend Pomegranate GeniKinoka
With a gleason score of 3+4=7 I had a
prostatectomy
in 2011. I had radiation in 2013, now my psa is on the rise, now at 0 .9, it seems I am headed for ADT. "Hormone blocking" I am trying to slow the PSA rise with supplements. Does anyone have experience with supplements?

Metabolic syndrome is associated with advanced prostate cancer at time of retropubic prostatectomy.
New Italian study [1] below. It's known that men who become diabetic have less PCa risk. Considering that diabetics have a higher risk of every other form of cancer, it seems to me more logical to say that: ... an untreated pre-diabetic condition is common in older men & increases the risk for PCa.

Had a
prostatectomy
in April 2011 (Gleason 3+4). PSA was non-detectable until December 2014 when it went up to .4. Did salvage radiation in February 2015 and my PSA was very low until February 2016 when it went to 1.

Biopsies While On Active Surveillance Do Not Have A Negative Affect On Sexual And Urinary Functioning Post Surgery
This finding should provide some reassurance with respect to early functional outcomes after radical having a radical
prostatectomy
. However, we still need to remember that the biopsy itself does come with some inherent risk for infection. http://tinyurl.com/zr3fhro Joel

4 month Casodex + radiation
At the age of 49 in October of 2013, I had a
prostatectomy
with 23 nodes taken. I am a gleason 4+5, SVI in both sv's, epe, negative margins, LN0. Decipher test results 25%. I belong to the club I never wanted to join of high risk locally advanced Pca.

In 2016 I joined this ADV Prostate Cancer club. My forward path is dark, uncertain, and full of fear. I seek info on what to expect.
Surgeon recommended a robotic
prostatectomy
to remove my prostate. Unfortunately, when I came in for a post surgical follow-up, I still had PSA of 3.5 & 3.6 on two different measurements. Some of the prostate cancer slipped by. Pathology on 5 nodes were positive.

Radiotherapy?
My PSA has gone up and down for a couple of years. 12 samples were taken for the biopsy, 7 of 12 positive T2b. urologist recommended Radical retropubic
prostatectomy
and mentioned radiotherapy. I have searched the net and found some good information and some contradictory.

Surgery or Radiation?
Hi Guys, I'm looking for some wisdom from my learned brothers. The Urologist who diagnosed me (April 19th) told me that my PC was advanced and I had 'positive margins' which I understand to mean that there is evidence the cancer in my prostate was evident at the very end of at least some of my biopsy

Biochemical Recurrence
I'm 14 years since my initial radical
prostatectomy
. PSA levels have been rising for 3 years. My question is at what point should my Urologist suggest for me to see oncologist? I'm not putting numbers, I've read so many conflicting suggestions online.

In preparation for my radical
prostatectomy
12 years ago, I had two units of blood drawn (the maximum I was allowed), in case blood was needed during surgery. The surgeon told me that most RPs did not require blood. In any case, 2 units would be more than enough.
