PSA undetectable
After surgery PSA should be undetectable. What does it mean. Once the lab give 0.03, once 0.04. I guess it s the lab (standard error of the machine), but what is the limit of the lab and when should i consider that THERE IS a PSA. Why is PSA still detectable after surgery should nt it be 0.00 ?

Has anyone been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer as well as prostate cancer? My husband is getting ready to have a bone marrow biopsy to see if that is what is going on. I have read that chemo and radiation can lead to bone cancersđ

It will be presented this weekend. They claim that it is more specific than PSA screening and also can be done at home using supplied by mailed kits.

Lupron + abi/pred 9 months and PSA<.04 throughout - - consider dropping abi and monitor it?
I am a recurrence case and PSA went to 2.2 last year; multiple possible sites. After 9 months in now, PSA <.04 and TT <10 the whole time. Hopkins MO says he would not risk stopping the abi despite the immeasurable PSA whereas Moffitt MO says he would stop the abi since it "seems" not so needed and

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Hereâs the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since Iâve been a strong responder

How can I support my brother?
My brother has advanced prostate cancer and has had surgery. New tests show it has metastasised in his hip. I want to be able to support him but also don't want to say the wrong thing or add to the stress he is already feeling. I would appreciate ANY advice ~ thank you so much.

Next step
Just finished up with chemo. Went from 139 psa @ dx to 1.66. I didn't make it to the non detectable team. Not sure what to think as many here with higher psa's have gone down lower. I'm currently still on Orgovyx and Nubeqa. Should I ask for more rounds of chemo as I've done 6 ? Will my PSA possibly

Trying to make sense of things
Can anyone explain why some people have Gleason 8 PC, high PSA and have metastatic disease, yet some with Gleason 9 and 10 have low-ish PSA (as far as PC goes) and no obvious metastatic disease (confirmed by PSMA)? I am trying to understand this damn disease and sometimes there doesnât seem to be any

PSA test
my husband had a PSA done and it raised from 0,5 to 0,7. He finished proton radiation las year January, the PSA went down to 0,5. is this normal, or should he take any action? He will be 81 years old this coming September, would it be okay to let it go. Has anybody have this experience? Thank you for

A proposed metabolic treatment for prostate cancer, (theoretical only) using drugs approved for other conditions
See the PaSTe regimen below: pantoprozole (a drug currently used to reduce stomach acid), simvastatin (a statin used to reduce cholesterol), trimetazidine (a drug used to treat angina attacks). PaSTe. Blockade of the Lipid Phenotype of Prostate Cancer as Metabolic Therapy: A Theoretical Proposal

Muscle loss
I'm sure this is a beaten horse topic, but I am unable to perform my previous weight training insofar as weight and stamina. I'm on eligard every 3 months and nightly erleada pill. Can I incorporate creatine monohydrate without effecting my PSA or exacerbating my BPH? I'm Stage 4, Gleason 9, mets to

We could tell in advance if enzalutamide works on a patient: computational biology
hopefully it will be clinically tested soon âFor the study in Nature Communications, Mitrofanova's team developed computational algorithms to discover why the prostate cancer drug enzalutamide (sold under the brand name Xtandi) never works for some patients and why it eventually stops working in others

Treatment
My dears, after RP (Gleason 7, 4+3, infected 3 lymph nodes) and lymphadetectomy, radiation and hormone therapy for 39 months, my oncologist took me off hormone therapy with the recommendation of PSA control every 3 months. The last three PSA readings (every three months) were 0.01 / 0.00 / 0.00, I expect

Although the authors recognize that CVD risk is higher in men with PCa ("[i]Cardiovascular
