Not PCa related but sounds like a very promising approach
When I read "advanced pancreatic cancer" and "overall disease control of 94%" in the same document...I feel like smiling.... https://ascopost.com/news/april-2024/advanced-pancreatic-cancer-oncolytic-virus-based-immunostimulatory-gene-therapy-plus-chemotherapy/

We could tell in advance if enzalutamide works on a patient: computational biology
hopefully it will be clinically tested soon ”For the study in Nature Communications, Mitrofanova's team developed computational algorithms to discover why the prostate cancer drug enzalutamide (sold under the brand name Xtandi) never works for some patients and why it eventually stops working in others

... what, then, do we die of?
It has long been known that men with PCa are at an increased risk for cardiovascular
disease
. Mark Moyad's view that "Heart healthy is

healthy", ("and heart unhealthy is prostate unhealthy.") [2] is largely true imo.

Anti-Androgen Therapy and Bone Tumors in Prostate Cancer
Sorry guys, but I found this and all I can say is it scared the hell out of me. Now I don't know what to think. Maybe someone can sort it out. https://journals.lww.com/oncology-times/fulltext/2021/08050/anti_androgen_therapy_can_fuel_spread_of_bone.16.aspx Jeff Dunn AO, Professor and CEO of the Prostate

blood test to identify neuroendocrine cancer asap
ok I repost this mainly because the University of Trento is one hour from here and I got good friends there (working on CRISPR)…together with Dana-Farber they have developed a blood test to identify if there is an endocrine prostate cancer and the subtype https://medriva.com/cancer/a-breakthrough-in-prostate-cancer-treatment-new-blood-test-identifies-neuroendocrine-subtype

Lupron + abi/pred 9 months and PSA<.04 throughout - - consider dropping abi and monitor it?
I am a recurrence case and PSA went to 2.2 last year; multiple possible sites. After 9 months in now, PSA <.04 and TT <10 the whole time. Hopkins MO says he would not risk stopping the abi despite the immeasurable PSA whereas Moffitt MO says he would stop the abi since it "seems" not so needed and

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Here’s the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since I’ve been a strong responder

Just finished up with chemo. Went from 139 psa @ dx to 1.66. I didn't make it to the non detectable team. Not sure what to think as many here with higher psa's have gone down lower. I'm currently still on Orgovyx and Nubeqa. Should I ask for more rounds of chemo as I've done 6 ? Will my PSA possibly

Trying to make sense of things
Can anyone explain why some people have Gleason 8 PC, high PSA and have metastatic disease, yet some with Gleason 9 and 10 have low-ish PSA (as far as PC goes) and no obvious metastatic disease (confirmed by PSMA)? I am trying to understand this damn disease and sometimes there doesn’t seem to be any

PSA test
my husband had a PSA done and it raised from 0,5 to 0,7. He finished proton radiation las year January, the PSA went down to 0,5. is this normal, or should he take any action? He will be 81 years old this coming September, would it be okay to let it go. Has anybody have this experience? Thank you for

panicking!
Hi, My husband was diagnosed over 10 years ago with Prostate cancer with PSA 18 and Gleeson 4+3. He was never offered prostatectomy as they said there was a small metastases on the pelvis. So he had 2 weeks of radiation on his hip, and was then treated with 6 monthly injections of Decapeptyl, which
