Zytiga issue solved…
A big thank you to all who weighed in on whether I should take a lesser dose of abiraterone with food or just go without for a few days…….when I called my insurance company and got to talk to someone who gave a hoot it was discovered that a new pre-Auth was NOT needed…….10 or more phone calls later

Keynote 365 Trial
Hey fellas, Seeing my MO tomorrow about enrolling in the Keynote 365 clinical trial with Keytruda in combination with another drug. Has anybody had any experience with Keytruda? Did it work for you? SE’s? I’m 17 years into this journey, castrate resistant, failed Xtandi, and recently failed Docetaxel

Diagnosed under 55
I’m looking specifically for men and partners of men who were diagnosed with de novo stage four prostate cancer at their initial diagnosis. The treatments are different and unfortunately so it the overall outlook. The younger men are diagnosed with PCa, the more aggressive the cancer tends to be.

prostap and tibolone - pelvis pain and night sweats
I’ve had three prostap injections, started tibolone at the same time, had heavy bleeding after first injection but none since. My pelvis pain is getting severe again, also my bladder pain is very bad, has anyone else experienced this? Also recently started having hot flushes and bad night sweats but

Rising PSA
I turned 87 just 3 days' ago. My QOL is still good: no pain, and a lot of physical activity. Fatigue is mostly annoying, but I generally can work through it. The issue is my concern with a slowly rising PSA. Today's blood test showed a PSA of 1.5. How concerned should I be, and are there steps to

Is PSMA PET Scan worth it when PSA<0.2
My MO recommends taking PET CT F18 -DCFPYL in case I want to go intermittent after two years of Lupron and Erleada. My PSA is still less than 0.2. I had one PSMA in March 2022 when PSA was rising to 1.03. Scan show 3 preaortic lymph nodes and two spot on ribs. Then 6 weeks RT and ADT (Lupron, Erleada

After Lupron I have been having seizures
Hi, In December 2023 I decided to finally undergo treatment for my prostate cancer, Gleason scale 6, with a high PSA of 63 (or 48 on another test) I had had this cancer for eight years WITHOUT it spreading. But doctors kept warning (I would almost say harassing) me, so... I underwent one shot of lupron

PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
I have been receiving chemotherapy since November 2023. Started with Docetaxel until it failed after 7 cycles. Switched to Cabazitaxel and currently on the 5th cycle. Since starting the Cabazitaxil my PSA has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression

Transrectal biopsy affects PSA readings for how long?
Hi Guys, Greetings to all. Just Joined this board. The last PSA test which I did which led to my diagnosis was 21. Bone Mets and Gleason 9. Had a biopsy done 3 weeks ago. Started Oral Orgovyx tablets 2 weeks ago. My question is for how long would a Transrectal prostate biopsy affect

Enzalutamide Plus 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors for Castrate-Sensitive Prostate Cancer
Phase II trial exploring the combination of enzalutamide with five alpha-reductase inhibitors (ARIs) for castrate-sensitive prostate cancer. Driven by observations from geriatric oncology, the study seeks alternatives to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for older, frail men who struggle with its side

Docetaxal chemotherapy
I have had prostate cancer since 2017. First I had radiation and then Lupron for three years. When my PSA started to rise I took abiraterone and Lupron for 3 more years and was undetectable. It started to rise again to 1.78. Then I was put on Xtandi but after a week I developed a full body rash. When

Interpreting blood tests
I've been on ADT for 4 months in preparation for RT and then HDR BT. I have localised G8 with an initial PSA of 8.1 Prior to commencing ADT, my PSA inexplicably dropped to 4.94 but then rose to 5.37 within 2 months. Anyway, here are my test results before starting ADT; These are Aussie measurements

PSA back up after radiation
After 4 .5 weeks of radiation PSA dropped from 6.6 to 3.46 but on 6/3 went up to 5.88. I have MO appt 6/11 and he has previously indicated that docetaxel could be the next step. Following last PSA increase switched from Zytiga to Xtandi. I am guessing that a PET scan is in order and maybe SBRT prior

Provenge immunotherapy
After 5.5 years on Lupron (no Zytiga, Xtandi, Daro, etc.), my PSA hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate. I've been researching Provenge a bit, and understand that

Pluvicto
My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May He had his PSA taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. I’m hoping this isn’t an indicator that this will fail too. He has been dealing with prostate cancer for 20+ years -prostate removed - watching till number doubled - maybe 5 years

PSA rockets up to 344
Hello - I received quite shocking news during my visit to the Mayo Clinic last week. My PSA has jumped to 344 from a low of 3.6 last November, when I completed chemo with cabazitaxel. PSA did start to rise quite soon, into double digits, but this is by far my highest PSA ever. Dr. Kwon recommended

Kishan's 6 month Androgen Annihilation Therapy Study for metastatic PCa
https://x.com/prostatecell/status/1770206641813696808?s=46 https://bit.ly/43rr68x seems to be a promising tactic for oligometastatic PCa, that combines SBRT with an ADT mix . The Abstract starts off by noting that with metastatic hormone sensitive PCa, recurrence almost always happens within six months
