PSA back up after radiation
After 4 .5 weeks of radiation PSA dropped from 6.6 to 3.46 but on 6/3 went up to 5.88. I have MO appt 6/11 and he has previously indicated that docetaxel could be the next step. Following last PSA increase switched from Zytiga to Xtandi. I am guessing that a PET scan is in order and maybe SBRT prior

Provenge immunotherapy
After 5.5 years on Lupron (no Zytiga, Xtandi, Daro, etc.), my PSA hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate. I've been researching Provenge a bit, and understand that

Zytiga issue solved…
A big thank you to all who weighed in on whether I should take a lesser dose of abiraterone with food or just go without for a few days…….when I called my insurance company and got to talk to someone who gave a hoot it was discovered that a new pre-Auth was NOT needed…….10 or more phone calls later

Pluvicto
My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May He had his PSA taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. I’m hoping this isn’t an indicator that this will fail too. He has been dealing with prostate cancer for 20+ years -prostate removed - watching till number doubled - maybe 5 years

PSA rockets up to 344
Hello - I received quite shocking news during my visit to the Mayo Clinic last week. My PSA has jumped to 344 from a low of 3.6 last November, when I completed chemo with cabazitaxel. PSA did start to rise quite soon, into double digits, but this is by far my highest PSA ever. Dr. Kwon recommended

Kishan's 6 month Androgen Annihilation Therapy Study for metastatic PCa
https://x.com/prostatecell/status/1770206641813696808?s=46 https://bit.ly/43rr68x seems to be a promising tactic for oligometastatic PCa, that combines SBRT with an ADT mix . The Abstract starts off by noting that with metastatic hormone sensitive PCa, recurrence almost always happens within six months

Could This Alternative Regiment Be Decelerating My PSA?
Between Summer of 2021 and Summer of 2023--two solid years--my PSA went from 11.5 to 15.3, roughly two points per year. Having concern about my PSA, I ventured into a more "aggressive anti-prostate cancer diet," centered around legumes/black, purple, wild rices/walnuts/flaxseed/tomato paste

Keynote 365 Trial
Hey fellas, Seeing my MO tomorrow about enrolling in the Keynote 365 clinical trial with Keytruda in combination with another drug. Has anybody had any experience with Keytruda? Did it work for you? SE’s? I’m 17 years into this journey, castrate resistant, failed Xtandi, and recently failed Docetaxel

Best alternative PET for PSMA negative PCa
Asking for a friend. He was diagnosed 3 years ago with high risk high volume (Gleason 3+5) PCa. Treated with EBRT + LDRBT + ADT (18 months). His PSA was undetectable but is now rising (3+) but PSMA-PET was negative, even in the prostate - implying PSMA non-avid cancer. What would be the best non-PSMA

ADT failure
We saw my Dad's MO on 5/23. Over the course of 4 weeks my dad's PSA moved from 1.46 to 2.14, He said we need to be on Zytiga for three months before we can deem it a failure, but just like Xtandi, it appears my dad had limited help with it. We have talked about the next steps, chemo and pluvicto. My

Diagnosed under 55
I’m looking specifically for men and partners of men who were diagnosed with de novo stage four prostate cancer at their initial diagnosis. The treatments are different and unfortunately so it the overall outlook. The younger men are diagnosed with PCa, the more aggressive the cancer tends to be.

Time to adjust my course, any suggestions?
Psa is on a steady increase again. I was taking extandi for a year up until 11 /23 over that yr my Psa had dropped from 29, 11/22 to 1.4 ,11/23. I was having significant SEs, brain fog mainly so I decided to switch to nubeqa (daralutimide) even tho there was a steady drop in PSA on extandi. Nubeqa

What happens next
My 68 year old husband was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer to the bones Oct 22 with PSA at 220. Since then he has been on Zoladex, Enzalutamide and has just finished 8 rounds of Docetaxel. Apart from this cancer he is very healthy - but what happens now when the PSA starts rising again. He

Please advise about treatment
I posted recently about my Dad’s PSA going up from 0.008 in December 2023 to 0.029 in March 2024. He had a PET Scan that showed some activity in a rib and prostate, MRI showed nothing. The PSA started dropping to 0.026 at the end of March and then 0.025 in April without any treatment. We didn’t anticipate

Rising PSA with little shown on PSMA PET
Greetings all. I've been on this forum for years. I've only commented a handful of times, and never made a post. I prefer to usually just read from the sidelines. First of all, a bit about my path thus far. I was diagnosed in May 2010 (age 49) (PSA 4.7 and Gleason 7), had radical surgery in July 2010

what is the risk from ALA?
What is this community’s take on ALA, as found in flaxseed oil? Is there risk for prostate cancer? If there is “risk”, is that solely an association with increased PSA? i.e. do significant amounts of flaxseed oil cause a change only in one’s baseline PSA? i.e. does it promote the [i]

PCA Prognosis?
Hi All! I am due for my 4rd Lupron treatment and follow-up next week. My bloodwork is done and my PSA is still <.01 for 9 months now. I have BRCA 1 and 2. When my Urologist gave me my initial diagnosis after my biopsies (Gleason 4+3=7 and 11 of 12 biopsies positive). nHe gave me a full report

Bicalutamide (Casodex) then Eligard - Question
OK, Another quick question. I've been on Bical for 11 days and in 3 days I get my first 1 month injection of Eligard. I have had almost zero side effects with Bical, maybe a little extra fatigue but hardly noticeable. Does this mean that perhaps I will tolerate Eligard better than what some people experience
