PSA SCREEN VS SYMPTOMATIC

My current PSA test is called PROSTATE SPC AG, SCREEN. My previous PSA test from the same lab was called PROSTATE SPC AG, SYMPTOMATIC. Both labs were off the same order from my MO.

Whats the difference?

It looks like a billing description. They want to get paid!!

Are you Private insurance, cash, or Medicare?

Then yes, these should be descriptions to advise the insurance coder, so Medicare can not deny multiple yearly tests.

As opposed to yearly screening.
