Newly diagnosed researching lifestyle changes
Hi there, Had a overall physical of everything which included PSA which was 6 in 2016 and didn't put any attention to it and ignored it, nobody I spoke with who saw the report said to do anything. No family history of prostate cancer that I know of. Now 7 years later age 64, PSA 18, Free PSA 11%

Carnosine as potential initial PCa treatment

HDR boost Brachytherapy + IMRT
Hi all, This is my first post since being diagnosed with g9 metastatic PC. PSMA PET showed several pelvic lymph nodes with Mets, but no other spread, and bones are clean. I’m trying to finalize my choice of radiation treatments. I’m currently on Lupron and Zytiga, and PSA is dropping like a rock

after EBRT …monitoring?
I’m up to fraction 20, today, 8 to go. (YAY!) I’m sure my RO will fill me in in upcoming appointments, but was wondering what I could expect in terms of monitoring results of my treatments afterwards. I’d imagine routine blood panels, monitoring PSA, but should I expect another PSMA PET scan at some

Uh... Oh... New Phase Awaits?
Dx 12/09, G4+3 Surgery 01/10 – Failed SRT 2nd quarter 2011 – Failed. Avodart worked for awhile. Eventually HT (Lupron + Casodex) in mid 2013. Worked great. Since then lengthy HT vacations 12/19/22-6/22/23 ---Orgovyx. Worked well so was able to stop...BUT NOW Starting to look like castrate resistance

Lack of cervical fluid
Hello This has been bothering me. I had a failed IVF transfer in July. I had my withdrawal bleed as expected and during that cycle I had absolutely no cervical fluid. I did have some fresh red blood around Day 18, which my clinic said was most likely hormone fluctuations after my cycle. Fast forward

Chemo Update March 27, 2024
I was treated with 6 rounds of docetaxel in 2017/2018 when I was HSPC and I responded exceptionally well. I have been CRPC since 2022 and have tried abiraterone and Radium 223 (Xofigo). I just completed 7 rounds of docetaxel again and PSA went from 105 to 3.1 after 4 rounds then started doubling. Now

PSMA Pet Scan results
My Dad has been on Abiraterone, Prednisone and Lupron for 2.5 years. He already had back in 2021 radiation to prostate, lymph nodes and 2 ribs. His PSA started going up and we just got the results from PSMA Pet Scan: “Highly PSMA positive tumor in the left prostate gland, increased in intensity and spatial

PSA not dropping with cabazitaxel
See my profile for history. Have had 8 good years after Docitaxal, Lupron and 4 years of Zytiga. But mets's started up again in May, 2023. PSA went up to 36. Took 5 rounds of Docitaxal but not working. PSA 46 in December. MO prognosis is 1-1.5 yrs. Switched to cabazitaxel but after 3 rounds PSA is now

I am a 70 year old diagnosed in 8/21 with G9 on biopsy with initial imaging negative for metastatic disease. Underwent RP in 10/21 with seminal vesicle involvement. A few sampled nodes were negative. 5 months after surgery PSA climbed to 0.39 from 0.016 in first post op test. PSMA PET revealed a solitary

FDG elements of PSMA scan
I had a FDG scan a few days ago . At the heart of my confusion is the function of FDG in giving a positive outcome to Pluvicto infusions. Is it a good thing to have lots of 'FDG Avid' showing up, or do you want those aspects of the scan to be as hidden as possible (so that the PSMA -Avid cells can be

How long does SBRT to two lymph nodes continue to lower PSA?
Just wondering…does SBRT continue to drop PSA for any length of time? Or is it five sessions and it is what it is then? Curious if I can see further PSA reduction after 5 sessions to one node, then 5 to a second node. No prostate. See the treating RO in a couple of days, but thought I would ask

Dutasteride reduces PSA by 40% over 6 months
This companion chart from data reported in Moore (2017) compares PSA, at baseline and at 6 months, comparing placebo to Dutasteride.
