Recently had my thyroxine increased from 150 to 175. Felt the best id felt in a long time. My gp just rang to day I need to go back to 150 as my blood result say tsh 0.06 and t3 is 31.4. I feel the best ive felt in a year. What should I do?

Hair loss due to over medication, when can I expect it to stop?
After 2 years of being adamant that I was not over medicated, chronic pain, weakness, discomfort and twitching in my hands/arms and spreading to my legs caused me to eventually give in to the GPs and reduce meds quite significantly. Pain drastically improved (though still lingers) yet my hair loss hasn't

Tests for ACTH deficiency
Other than the short SynACTHen, can anyone recommend any tests for secondary adrenal insufficiency? As a much removed pituitary patient and persistence of symptoms despite T3 (which has definitely helped but not cured) I'm beginning to think of it as a possible culprit. As all find, it takes a good 3

I have stopped taking T3 due to heavy hair loss
I have stopped taking T3 due to heavy hair loss. I was on 150mg and doing great. I don't want to stop it as it was helping me a lot but my hair has started falling out in a big way so I don't feel I have a choice in case its the T3 causing it. As soon as I stopped some of my old symptoms have come back

My psychiatrist has stopped my T3 because the Director of Pharmacy from Staffordshire won't allow it. The NHS would rather spend £25,200!!
I suffer with Body Dysmorphic Disorder which is linked to low thyroid. Before I was on T3 my BDD was bad enough to be able to get inpatient treatment for 3 months which would cost the NHS £25,200. But I didn't need this after I went on T3. So now the NHS has stopped my T3 and I will end up having inpatient

Hair loss, why don't doctors look at the holistic picture instead of each symptom individually?
Why is it doctors don't link our symptoms up? I told my doctor about me losing hair, my arms looked like a plucked chicken! I've also started losing a abnormal amount of head hair when I brush it. It is extremely dry as is my face and scalp, my skin almost peels off under my chin it's so dry! I

Am I the only person losing hair, eyelashes, eyebrows and body hair?
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism by the lovely Dr Skinner. I feel utterly miserable.

Is there anything to stop this thinning hair on the top, I am just about looking bald
I am now taking iron tablets 3 times a day per doctors (plus taking Vit C with them), started them a week ago and I started taking Boots own hair, nail and skin tablets on Wednesday. Getting really scared and feeling depressed as each time I wash my hair more and more disappears, I only wash it once

Hi, I'm sorry I bet you are all sick of me. As I have posted a couple of posts sorry for being a pain. But have another question for you.
Under what circumstances would cause you to have to have either ovaries removed or a hysterectomy procedure done. My reasoning for asking is because, the gynea that sent me for surgery, said he would see me 3months after my lap (which was 3weeks ago on the Wednesday coming). He now wants to see me this

Hair today - but no longer gone tomorrow.
Hi All, Thought I would share my hair dilemma with you and the vast improvement I am now lucky to have achieved. Firstly I have got to confess to not knowing which of the two changes I have made is responsible for this improvement but as an awful lot of us on here suffer with the first possible reason

Stopping levothyroxine
Hi all! My hair loss is still continuing and I've really had enough. I was diagnosed underactive a couple of years ago and don't recall complaining about hair loss leading up to diagnosis. I do however recall mentioning re sensitivity to cold. I'm on 50 mcg and told T4 is fine. Mind you, none of

I need help for a friend......because she doesn't speak english well enough. She has been diagnosed celiac plus hashimoto's just recently.
Not yet on thyroxine someone advised her to take kelp or similar. The GP here who is incidentally also my GP dismissed her saying 'it's easy to get better with hashimoto's , just take levothyroxine and you'll be fine!' Now we know it isn't that easy. But I don't know what to suggest about kelp for

Hair Loss
Hi, I'm on a roll tonight with my questions haha!! I have been having handfuls of hair loss recently and I have been very worried about it, I used to have long very thick hair but it has really thinned out and I am concerned it's the drugs that are doing it. I take prednisolone, hydroxychloroquine

Hair loss
Hi I have an underactive thyroid (diagnosed approx 2 years ago). Have been told T4 is fine whatever that means. My hair did start to get better from Dec 2012 - June/July 2013. Ferriting was low and was therefore taking ferrous sulphate three times a day and stopped this approx April as levels back
