Am I the only person losing hair, eyelashes, eyebrows and body hair?

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism by the lovely Dr Skinner.

I feel utterly miserable.

I lost head hair, eye lashes and body hair in some places pre diagnosis. Things did eventually improve and get back to a more normal state once I was taking a sensible dose of thyroxine, but it took a long long time. Hang in there!

Thanks Gingerbread. How long did it take? Out of curiosity how much thyroxine are you on?

Not sure how long. Many months and could even have been more than a year. Sorry if that sounds like an eternity, I know how miserable you feel. I got up to 125mcg thyroxine and then back down to 100mcg which seemed to stabilise. But i never felt right so eventually moved over to NDT which seems to suit me better.

Did the hair loss get better on thyroxine or NDT? I'm thinking of changing from T3 only to T4 and T3 combination, maybe NDT

It did actually get sorted when i was only on thyroxine. Tried T4 and T3 combo but still got intolerable side effects from the thyroxine.
