New, fed up, body failing but found a community here :)
Hi all, I'm brand new here and new to thyroid issues. I have suffered with a neurological condition called idiopathic intracranial hypertension for 12 years. During my last MRI due to a flare up, the docs found white matter lesions, too many for my age and possibly due to something called small vessel

NHS Endo test results - all normal - thoughts please ...
Hi - I have finally been to see an NHS endocrinologist. It felt like something of a 'tick box exercise'. Help please
Hello everyone. I would really love to hear your advice if it’s not a problem. I’m relatively new in the world of Hashimoto’s as I’ve been diagnosed when I was 9 years old, so my mother took care of me and my therapy. Now I’m 21 and started to educate and taking care of it myself, but still don’t know

Time of day for a blood test
I have just come back from my GP as for the last 4 weeks I have been feeling as if my internal thermostat was't working. Been going hot and cold, tired/achey, headache feeling like my brain was in fog, poor memory, subtle off balance feeling. Some days very hungry and other days not. Generally really

Advice - Pituitary and Sex Hormone Levels
Hi again to all of you helpful people! Having added a private (medichecks) blood panel to my latest results, I would like some advice regarding the results, and my next steps. A second cortisol test ruled out Primary Adrenal Insufficiency, and hence I did not have a Short Synacthen Test done. The only

Hi there, has anyone had elevated prolactin that has come down after getting treated for hypothyroidism? If so, what was the timeline like? Thank you!

Blood test results
Recently had my umpteenth blood test and had some out of range results other than T which is expected . I'm on Trelstar and Estradiol patches and was on cabergoline to lower prolactin which I stopped a couple weeks ago. Test/Result / Normal range /Flag Testosterone, total/ 9.0 /

Contradicting Thyroid panel of my wife, is it hypo or something else? Doctor can't explain
Hi All! Can someone shed some light on the below lab results and theory? It's about my wife. She has some hypo symptoms(or it might actually connect to adrenals since her cortisol levels are very low during the day). Anyway her Thyroid panel is contradicting: TSH : 2.2 (1-4) FT4 : 10,5 (11,5-22,7

Concordance of Fingerstick and Venipuncture Sampling for Fertility Hormones
A frequently asked question here is whether home-draw blood tests using lancets to obtain small amounts of blood are comparable to the standard large samples taken from our veins. Whilst we have had quite a number of people report that when they had two tests done very close in time, the results were

Prolactin and progesterone results... help
I’ve just had my progesterone result come back at 63, which I think is good. However my prolactin has gone from 523 to 867 which the nurse said is not good. My pregnancy test has been getting darker each day but not sure how this effects things. Any advice? Xx
