I was extremely lucky and had a last minute cancellation for NHS fertility appointment (original was for October this year - would’ve been 10 months post GP referral).
It was actually a really good appointment with lots of time given to discuss options and made me feel more hopeful. I am likely to do “ovulation induction” with letrozole. Just waiting a few more tests.
I was wondering if anyone wants to share there experience with letrozole and scans etc.

I’ve been given letrozole through the NHS. I’ve just finished my 3rd round unfortunately not pregnant yet. But it can take a few rounds for some people. I’m also on Metformin due to my PCOS. The whole process of tests can take some time but hold on cause it’s best to have all tests completed before starting the medicine. Hope that helps
Thanks for your reply and sharing your experience. Best of luck on your treatment.
Yes I also have PCOS and on metformin (makes me feel sick!). Currently awaiting a 2nd scan in 2 weeks (induced bleed to check endometrium) and final blood tests before hopefully starting in 6 weeks (this is what I was told at the appt). Hoping it works and very nervous.
Hi. Just wanted to wish you well with all this, and of course for a successful outcome. I’m sure some of the ladies will jump on and tell you of their experiences. Good luck. Diane
