Probiotics
Does anybody know if it is safe to take
probiotics
whilst taking apixaban. I've just finished 3 consecutive courses of antibiotics and wanted to try to improve my gut health post antibiotics. Just to say that I had an ablation in May for flutter. Many thanks.

I've bought some
probiotics
to try and restore my gut flora which has taken a battering after 3 courses of antibiotics. Does anyone taking apixaban also take
probiotics
or can offer any advise as to whether its okay to take them. Thanks.

Too many antibiotics?...anyone using probiotics?
just wondering if anyone uses a probiotic after antibiotics, I have have at least 12 courses of antibiotics this year, I am wondering if they have stripped my gut of the good bacteria that we all need to keep us healthy, my health is terrible just now, constant infections, I am thinking about trying

Constant antibiotics play havoc with my digestion - advice on diet?
I always take
probiotics
(based on the fact that it can take your gut up to 12 months to recover and I never go more than a couple of months between a/b!)

Can probiotics ease diarrhoea and daily loose stools?
But I was talking to a friend who’s dog had loose stools for ages, she said
probiotics
sorted him out in a short space of time. I know we aren’t dogs lol, but has anyone had any sucess with
probiotics
? And if so which ones would anyone recommend? There are so many to choose from.

Stopping medication
Hi everyone, I am really desperate with what to do next as nothing works for me. I was finally getting NDT and had so much expectation from it. I was fine for few days and then my stomach started to hurt that bad that I couldn't bed down. I email my specialist and ask what to do . He said to stop and

Milk and thyroxine absorption
How long do I need to wait until I have breakfast cereal with milk after thyroxine medication. Is it 4 hours? I usually have porridge with quite a bit of milk. Or is it better to have something without milk for breakfast? I am currently struggling with what seems like absorption problems. Also,

Diet, fibre, probiotics - and your mind ...
There have been several posts and questions about diet and
probiotics
recently. This ZOE podcast was brought up on another forum and I thought others would be interested. I just read the transcript, far quicker than watching the video and the most interesting bits are later in the article.

Goitre and blood test
This is a bit of a long one - Thank you all in advance for your advice. So I have had a goitre for about 12 years - am not on medication and feel fine.. I have been aware it seems to have got bigger over the last few months and I do feel self-conscious about it. It does not affect breathing . I stayed

apixaban and probiotics
Hi, hope your ablation went OK. I have been on apixaban , 5mgx2/ day, since 30 10 2017. Now and then I take pre and pro biotics for one month, which improves my intestinal transit, just being careful not to take anything that would interfere with the effect of apixaban.

Had kale, broccoli which I was avoiding since diagnosed with PV but during this self-experiment, my platelate and heamatocrit stayed stable. 2. took
probiotics
, fish oil and vitamin D as only supplement. 3. Dry and steam Sauna once a week. 4. Sun exposure early morning and evening. 5.

Magnesium salts and RLS: malate, glycinate or citrate
Just following up on a recent post recommending magnesium malate for RLS, quoting recommendations made by Californian company Pure Biogenics in promoting their RLS supplement Seratame. Looking into this, experiments on rats suggested that malate may be the most bio-available form of magnesium; there

Afraid to go to the bathroom!!
I know what to eat, what not to eat - and I have eliminated Miralax, etc. from my regime, altho I take Magnesium, Senna, and
probiotics
every morning - and 2 glasses of water prior to my breakfast and before coffee.

Curing RLS not just treating the symptoms
Thank you for the priceless pages of RLS tips and advice! I’ve been struggling to diagnose my 3 year old son’s sleep issues his entire life. A sleep study reveled his “kicking legs” last year which (we believe) set us on the right path. So far, adding
