Anyone have any tips on what I can do to prevent preeclampsia from happening again and keeping blood pressure down? Did anyone have preeclampsia for their first and then again second pregnancy?

Stopping medication for preeclampsia after birth
I was told to keep taking the medication (labetalol) until my 6 week checks (today). The disinterested gp said I could just stop taking it but the leaflet says to reduce to stop. Can I ask whether anyone else stopped cold turkey? I was on a 2000mg in pregnancy and dropped to 400mg since. Blood pressure

Protein in urine
Hello, I’m currently 38+6 weeks pregnant and for the past 3 weeks I have tested positive for protein and blood in my urine. My blood pressure is normal, I have no urine infection and my blood tests came back as normal. I really don’t understand what could be causing this. I have read about pre eclampsia

Iodine deficiency in pregnancy along a concentration gradient is associated with increased severity of preeclampsia in rural Eastern Cape
I'm sure everyone who has ever been involved with pregnancy has heard about the dreaded pre-eclampsia. Just the thing to get midwives (and mothers-to-be) worrying. Would be rather excellent if this paper represents a significant step towards understand the issue. [i]2022 Feb 4;22(1):98. doi: 10.1186

Pre eclampsia
Hi ladies, I am 26 weeks pregnant. At my most recent visit to see my midwife I had a tiny bit of protein in my urine. My blood pressure is fine but they are still concerned that it might be the start of pre eclampsia. I'm not too familiar with this disease so would really appreciate if you would share

Cholestasis & Pre Eclampsia
Hello, I am new here! I had quite a bad fist pregnancy severe sickness up until 16 weeks then I had Cholestasis at around 28/30 weeks and had to be induced at 36 weeks. Birth was ok but then had pre-eclampsia and stayed in hospital for a while afterwards. Is it likely I will have Cholestasis this time

Fast labour / Precipitous Birth / Excess Amniotic Fluid (Polyhydramnios)
Hello! I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced a rapid birth with their first born and went on to have second babies? I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with our second baby (my toddler is 20 months) and I’m wondering how quick the second birth could be considering we had a birth from start to finish

I loss my baby boy at 25 weeks due to Preeclampsia with Severe Features
I feel like the pain of losing my baby boy is driving me crazy. I feel so guilty, like I should have been more attentive of my health while I was still carrying him. Not that I was unhealthy, I was doing the best I can to eat right, avoid foods that were not good for the baby, and even do mild exercise

Has anyone got CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) from preeclampsia?
Hi, just doing a bit of research as I have recently been diagnosed with CKD. I had some blood tests done recently when I was 39 weeks pregnant with my daughter as they thought I had preeclampsia. I didn't have preeclampsia but they found I have a high creatinine level. According to tests I've had a realised

Plaquenil and pregnancy
Hi there! I recently read on an APS Facebook group that Plaquenil might improve pregnancy outcomes in women with APS. For those of you who've taken plaquenil to prevent miscarriage/pregnancy complications, did your family Doctor/high risk OB/rheumatologist/etc prescribe it? A little about me. I've had

Anticardiolipins false positive
Hello everyone, I had been tested for APS after pre eclampsia and death of my son. No history of miscarriage. The first test done 15 days after my c section was positive for anticardiolipins (48). They repeated the tests 4 months after, came back at 1.2 so strong negative. All other tests are negative
