Overview of the Ataxias
Cerebellar tremor may improve with
primidone
and antiepileptics; oscillopsia with memantine and GABA agonists; and spasticity with central anti-spasticity drugs. A multidisciplinary approach is necessary in MSA-C, due a multitude of progressive motor and non-motor symptoms.

New rls medicine
My husband went to neurologist today and told him the ropinirole isn't working anymore and got prescribed to take 2 50 mg
primidone
to take with the ropinirole at night. Anyone know anything about this medicine? I have googled it but I would rather hear from someone who has tried it.

Five years with wrong diagnosis
I always believed it was Parkinsons but the neurologist I first visited insisted it was essential tremor and treated with
primidone
. The tx never helped of course. I finally changed to new neurologist who immediately diagnosed Parkinsons. Taking rasagaline and Rytary now.

sever hand Tremor
Then given her
Primidone
, but she had a terrible side effects so she stopped, but I did not see any improvement anyway. The second neurologist said it looks PK. And give her 25/100 Sinemet brake in half morning and night. She is on Sinemet but really I can't see any different.

Some Background information - Dr Contantini MD
The medical treatment of this affection currently involves the use of propranolol,
primidone
and other drugs. These drugs, however, are often not effective in reducing tremor and cause side effects in a large share of the patients treated.

Primidone SERB 50 mg tablets – error on barcode
There is an error on the barcode of some batches of
Primidone
50 mg tablets made by SERB. When the barcode is scanned, it says the tablets are 250 mg, not 50 mg tablets as it should. The tablets inside are 50 mg and the dose is written correctly on the box. It is only the barcode that is wrong.

Ldn restores life
At that point, I accepted the NHS offer of Beta Blockers (Propanolol) and an epilepsy medication (
Primidone
). Nothing truly helped and I haven’t been near a kitchen knife since. As predicted, the attacks grew, taking more and more abilities from me that I had always taken for granted.

Mysoline name change
If the tablets have on them
primidone
- Auden McKenzie, the formulation is identical to the discontinued Mysoline. The boxes now have on them Auden Mckenzie –
primidone
. View the new packaging. There is no stock shortage.
